I landed a part time job as an audio streaming tech engineer for the university of Washington's Department of Global Health. They give a weekly lecture with powerpoint that is global and goes all the way to Africa as part of their TREE (Treatment Research and Expert Education) program. They are currently using Adobe connect to host and record the sessions. My job will be to set up equipment, conduct and monitor the recording, edit and post it to the archive.
There currently isn't a podcast and I will bring that to them in the future. I know I am completely overqualified for this position, but it is a perfect fit because #1 it's part time which will allow me to conduct RePop business. #2 after 90 days it comes with benefits. And #3, I could take the bus if I don't mind walking a bit. #4 I will be a university of washington employee which comes with benefits I'm sure are as good as Boeing's.
The only down side is that reporting times are 7 & 6 in the morning, but I will adjust.
Let me get to sleep.
