Our Mission The mission of Burgundy Woman is to develop women young and mature to become strong women through etiquette development, character building, financial stewardship training, and other resources and services that will assist them in developing as strong Burgundy Women. Who We Are We are a non-profit social club that wishes to reach out to women and females ages 3-101. We desire to assist every female in finding her untapped potential and encouraging her to pursue it. Can every woman become a Burgundy Woman? No. Not every woman will want to sacrifice the things that hinder them. So, not every woman can become a Burgundy Woman. Only a special kind of woman can be a Burgundy Woman. What We Provide We will provide etiquette training; phone, dining, business. Re-establish an appropriate dress code for all Burgundy Women. Assist in the development of women becoming independent from government aid or any aid that keeps them from becoming Strong Burgundy Woman. We will network to ensure that every Burgundy Woman has suitable employment. We will offer wealth building seminars that will include the purchasing of a home, vehicle, stocks and bond purchase. Maintaining a healthy bank account, stocks, bonds, 401k's and other finances and healthy spending habits. Biblical teaching will be offered at all Stages. We will encourage all Burgundy Women to pursue higher education, trade or entrepreneurship to increase their standard of living. We will encourage the Burgundy Women to get out of abusive or unproductive relationships. We will encourage proactivity such as family counseling, assistance for rebellious youth, individual wholistic counseling. Proper daily eating and exercise habits. Safety workshops. How We Do It We will offer free to low cost Seminars on all subjects expressed in above statements and other subjects that will benefit women in becoming Burgundy Women. There is opportunity for Chapters in all 52 states and will be run by Burgundy Women Participants. Each Chapter will select a Captain that will assist with bringing in Speakers that will give hands on training and questions and answer times. The needs of each Chapter will be identified through the Captain to ensure that Burgundy Woman's mission is being fullfilled. We will also solicit grant funds to assist with the needs of each Chapter. Why We Do It We want to keep with the premise that all woman are made equal and should be treated that way. All women deserve respect and should be given it. All women deserve to be informed so a wealth of information should be provided. All women should be loved, accepted, respected, heard, protected, encouraged, guided and instructed in the right direction. That is what we will do. No one knows everything. That is why this organization was developed. We want woman to be educated in all aspects of their lives so that as they grow they can plant good seed in the lives of others..... BURGUNDY WOMAN STAGES There are three major steps to becoming a Burgundy Women. There is a fourth stage the surpasses even that of the Burgundy Woman which is the Beige Stage for the more mature woman who is encouraged to pass on her wisdom to the young. PINK Stage One Ages 3-12 Girls are learning what it is to be girlie and how to be a young lady. They are instructed on the fundamentals of life. They are instructed on their heritage no matter what culture they are. They are instructed that all women are equal and the same but may look different and are made in the image of God. They are instructed in all forms of etiquette, self-respect, self-love the way God intended. They are instructed on the truth about life and death. They are provided a mentor that will encourage them to be all that they can be but who will not interfere with their family life. They will be instructed on good and bad touches by males and females. They will be instructed on how to protect themselves from strangers and those that try to cause harm. They will be instructed on the importance of a spiritual and secular education and encouraged to pursue both. Recreational projects and summer camp will be provided to this group. Intervention and group sessions will be offered at this stage. GREEN Stage Two Ages 13 -26 Topics from Stage one will be reiterated. Young ladies will be instructed on dating, pursuing higher education, life skills, managing finances, dealing with problems in a proper manner and with the right attitude. Special services and various workshops will be provided for this group. Peer mentoring will be encouraged at this stage. Field trips will be provided to this group to give them the opportunity to practice what they have learned. Services and group meetings will be provided at this stage BURGUNDY Stage Three Ages 27 - 45 This is the Burgundy stage. All stages One and Two will be reiterated for those that need it. For those advanced they will be selected to mentor those younger than themselves. They will be offered varies workshops that will cover car and home purchase and maintenance, business scam, higher education and employment, dating and marriage, raising children, problems resolution and a multitude of other subjects that will benefit them. Intervention and group sessions will be offered at this stage. BEIGE Stage Special Ages 46 - up At this stage woman will not just be mentors but will be selected based on maturity, education and profession to instruct younger participants. All stages will be reiterated at this stage for those that need it. Varies workshops will be provided as needed. Tea time and round table discussion will be provided at this level. Trips and outings will be offered at this stage that are age appropriate. Suggestions will be accepted at this stage. DUES Dues are taken from each group and are income based. Dues are due Dec. 21 of each year to assist with the programs, workshops, interventions, speaker's bureau, trips, outings, recreation and various other programs offered for the following year. The amount tabulated by the 31st will determine to what degree services will be offered the following year. Grants and fund-raisers will also play a role. The amount can be given all at once or in small payments. Those that can afford to assist other members in fulfilling their due obligation are requested to do so. Work in Progress - The Burgundy Woman organization plans to open a women's clothing store. Books and songs written and published by the founder Tomascia Watson will assist in financing many of the events. Both the Store and publications will assist with paying speakers and providing services and resources to women of all ages. Burgundy Woman plans to encourage churches and political organizations to establish more shelters, low-income housing, food, clothing, bill assistance, childcare and other resources for low-income individuals looking for employment. A childcare center will be opened to assist women seeking employment. This will all occur in the near future in the Southern Central Los Angeles, California area where its main office will be located, upon locating, purchasing and renovating a warehouse. Burgundy Woman is accepting applications for its Board Membership & BW membership.
