The situation for many when it comes to jobs requires a program that targets certain demographics but unfortunately the courage to do this probably does not exist. Off of the top of my head a program to put a million of the hardest hit to work could be put together for about 40 billion dollars and the program would have instant collateral savings because it would take people off of assistance, reduce subsidies for public housing, and allow some to avoid prison. If you just try to stimulate the economy and you don't concentrate on the people who are hurting the worst then all these things will continue indefinitely and unrest will ensue. If President Obama has the courage to try and enact these programs he will be criticized for protecting the Black population, and he has to stand up to these Haters and tell them that the suffering has be dealt with if we are human. He may be Black and White, but this is not a Black and White problem, this is a human problem. At the same time we have to deal with why there is so much disfunction at every level and we need to take a serious look at what makes communities work and what causes them to decay, then figure out what to do to fix the problem. At the root of every successful human endeavor is a community that functions and we need to tap into what makes those communities work. When I am referring to a community I am talking about everything from a motorcycle club to a neighborhood in Harlem. When they work they make everything bigger than the individual parts.
