Giving thanksgiving on this turkey day

This year has been good. Although I've been without a job with coverage for a year and a half, I've been able to get certified in Final Cut Studio with Adobe certification to come in Photoshop, Illustrator & After Effects.
I've had to eat my own dog food of "your passion can bring the cash in" and by cash in, I don't mean the stereotypical selfish capitalistic way, I mean quality of life.

I have been able to expand on the authoring of the breakfast group…

*** My Letter to my Representatives, Senators and President Obama:About Bailing Out the Rich . . .***

Dear Representatives, Senators and President Obama:

I humbly ask that you do not allow the proverbial tail on the dog to wag the dog. In other words, DO NOT extend President Bush's tax cuts for the wealthiest 2% of Americans. This is America and here we are to care about each other- take that “suppose to care” terminology out of the equation. Of course, if you have awakened…

Is The Number 13 Considered Unlucky???

We are told that 13 is an unlucky number. The date Friday the 13th is taboo because the Knights Templar were arrested and condemned by the seneschals of Philippe IV, King of France, in a "pre-dawn raid" on Friday, October 13th, 1307. The number 13 has been shunned for centuries. Some architects omit the 13th floor from office buildings to this very day. Is it possible…

Have we forgotten our Black History?

I am quite excited to post this thought to this blog, however I have given this over to several other blog posts but with not as much bravado as I do here! This is so relevant during this time because the society that we live in has melted down and there appears to be no real remnants of our much fought for past. Dr. Martin Luther King, Harriet Tubman, Sojourner Truth, Nat Turner, all bringers of the word 'Freedom' Many revolutionaries in their own right,if alive what would be there words to our… Continue

Jay says in the interview (the part about no positive role models and

*Can we talk about white privilege*

This reality is coming to light more and more each day. The validation of it came to me about 2 years ago when a college professor gave me a book about it. Heard of Tim Wise? He seams to like talking about it and he is white.
