Al Sharpton's Message to Herman Cain

"If there is no struggle, there is no progress."

Frederick Douglass

No commentary needed!

The following is a message from Al Sharpton to Herman Cain.

The greeting on your website says, "we are looking forward to hearing

Cain.

I saw on the internet that you called the President a liar. I deplore

what you are…

new article & discussion on Race & Meritocracy in Silicon Valley 11-20-11

The author, Eric Ries, writes openly and attempts to be respectful on the subject of racism, a known issue stirring much emotions. I don't think he is aware of a few facts and viewpoints that African-Americans and people of color in the U.S. grasp first-hand (and which I've had to learn as white man, growing up with extended family including many racially mixed marriages and children, and myself married to an African-American woman.

American Debt, Credit and Finally Getting it Right

American Debt, Credit and Finally Getting it Right

The more you earn, the less you should be borrowing and without our Nations credit standard backing up this philosophy, how can lending nations feel comfortable with our National debt?

The Federal Trade Commission enforces the Equal Credit Opportunity Act which details that creditors cannot discriminate against anyone for all of the usual reasons

(race,…

Is our American Government one of Big Business? Response from Rev. Dr. Leon D Finney Jr

Recently someone asked me if our American government was one of Big Business, for Big Business and by Big Business? After taking more than a few minutes to respond my observations are as follows:

  • There is much evidence to support the idea that the Republican Party is owned by Big Oil Business; fueling the belief that they are help to make us a Corporatocracy.
  • There is much evidence to support the idea that the Democratic Party is owned by Big Wall…

Not hired due to your credit?

Not Hired Due to Your Credit?

In this economy, not hired is fightin' words!  And many people are faced with making it through several interviews just to be told that their credit score is too low.  And if you think you know your score, think again.  The score you would use to buy a car or home is not the same score employers are looking at to…

Survive the Lie

A quarter moon sits in the sky as day turns to dusk. Deprivation sings of starvation.  People are hungry, food insecure.  The House of Love Soup Kitchen lights the way providing respite in the midst of hardship.  Volunteers are busy heating up food and preparing for dinner. The newspaper man passes out papers filled with reports about the occupations and demonstrations all over the country against gluttony.

Occupy Wall Street…occupy Oakland…occupy Washington D.C….sit in…march…sing in…
