Ideas for Change
Perhaps the color of my skin means that my ideas for change should not be considered, but I feel that a far greater crime would be that I remain silent.
True, this idea may seem too small to make any real difference...and maybe it has been said before. And yes, I am quite certain that others have better ideas than I could ever come up with.
That said, here is my idea : A website.
What is needed is a website where information about…

Polarity
When I was young consumerism was my only alternative to fear. As a young African American male I was discouraged from showing any emotion, outside of running a route or crip-walking with friends. Regardless of my vision time kept on slipping into the future.
As I got older the price of happiness became insignificant. I made a choice to live, to become the quintessential partner to hope and death, to make the extraordinary things ordinary.
I think i'm ready to…

BRAIN STORM
Finding the words which relate to another; a place to create not stutter; a thesaurus of chess with utterance of lingo. Inventing nothing less than a purposeful language of relation – producing without hesitation. On the cusp of maximization, greatness free to initiate a monstrous form originating the brain storm. By definition it is a clear mission to form a circumstance for the truest addition. Once the thoughts turn to ideas…

FROM THE OUTSIDE LOOKING IN...HIPOCRISY
Making time to consulate, my aggravation of government procrastination has become at the forefront of my irritation. A foolish group of discombobulated souls who hold ignorance at arm’s length to fold. What must the people do to keep these demagogues from making the loudest thud treating our business like it is just mud? How do we get them to pay attention to the real problems and tribulations? If they knew what they were doing it…

IN PRAISE OF CHOCOLATE
I am enjoying the "Chocolate Love" that I'm seeing in the media of late.
The magazine covers, the videos, and the movies are finally giving some "play" to those of us with a deeper hue. They are finally showing, what we already knew, that we are beautiful too.
Eric Benet, the soulful, R&B crooner is a big fan of chocolate sistas in his videos, Thanks, Mr. Benet.
The launch of Iman Cosmetics has also spawned a whole new stage for the "Chocolate Love" to be spread…

Message from Colonel Mu’ummar Qaddafi 13.04.2011
In the name of Allah, the beneficent, the merciful...
For 40 years, or was it longer, I can't remember, I did all I could to give people houses, hospitals, , and when they were hungry, I gave them food. I even made Benghazi into farmland from the desert, I stood up to attacks from that…

My stepbrother was the police offeicer killed in St Louis early on Resurrection Sunday, needless to say I am devastated. But I feel the need to say to any one out there this was a brave young man willing to do what he felt was his duty as an officer for his community. Please celebrate and applaud him the way white communties do there fallen comradesand recognize him as a hero.

I HEART VICK
I ♥ Michael Vick. I ♥ Michael Vick. Yes, I ♥ Michael Vick.
I have jumped on the band wagon. I must confess, I haven't always been a fan. Maybe it was the trouble that he got into with the illegal dog fighting ring a few years ago, that brought him to my attention.
Sure, I enjoyed his athletic prowess on the field. He is a talented athlete, but I wasn't a fan until he was sent to jail, stripped of his product endorsement deals and lost his ability to make a living.
When…

Scars
Scar -" A permanent patch of skin that grows over a wound. It forms when your body heals itself after a cut, scrape, burn or sore. Once there is a scar, it is there forever. However, when the scar matures it should be much less noticeable than when it was new”.
“Scars are said to be evidence of healing. If there are no visible scars has healing taken place and if so who decides? “Healing,” however, is not the same as being “healed”. Wounding and scarring seem to leave lasting…

MADE IN DETROIT
We were all born somewhere. But where were “born” is not necessarily the place that we were “made.”
I was born in the south, my family migrated to the north when I was about five years old. I have very few memories of the south from my youth. I moved back to the south briefly about ten years ago. It just wasn't for me.
For one thing the pace, is much slower. I'm used to a faster pace, you learn to move quickly when you're running from your house to the car in…

Game Over!
With the NBA Playoffs underway, it got me thinking about the "good old days" of the game of basketball.
I've been watching basketball for more than twenty years and I remember when the NBA was good! Not that I don't still enjoy the game, but some of the "magic" is gone and I don't just mean Johnson.
First of all, the love of the game…

I'm into next month's pay
With all the talk about union busting and the continual unmasking of the true nature of the tea party, the easter weekend of 2011 will put to an end fasts, many individuals are doing. One of which, I will admit that I am not partaking in. At least not this time.
I have fasted before and got my offer on the 40th day.
And what was the substance I refused to partake in?
The liquid that energizes many individuals to finish all nighters.
One that a…
