Insane in the membrain

Today I dropped in on the funeral of Charles Rolland. He was 60 & died of a heart attack between games playing racquetball. Charles was a community and education and civil rights and technology leader/activist. I met him while he was on a Seattle public school review board for a proposal I was submitting long ago. He is married to Jackie, the head of the Langston film festival.

Before that I was at a breakfast group meeting to plan the 18th annual all achiever's award program. Don…

The Problem: It's Money that Matters. Money and Sadism

The problem with capitalism is money. Pretty much everything requires money and especially the basic necessities of food, clothing, shelter, healthcare, education, infrastructure, energy, transportation. If we could eliminate money, everything would be fine. The occupy people have done this by living on a resourced based social needs system (until they were dispersed by federally coordinated police in riot gear).

Until a resourced based system works for everyone (without fear…

The excrement hitting the oscilator

Where do I begin? I know, a recap.

I am now a 99 squared in that I am of the 99% and I eclipsed the 99 weeks of unemployment. In other words, no more unemployment checks. I haven't found a full time gig although I still apply with renewed resumes and all. The "work" I had been doing ended with an RFQ that I submitted to, but haven't heard anything back.

Most recently was able to attend the January Tuskegee Airmen meeting at the museum of flight which had the largest turn out…

Never expend resources against an enemy who is the process of self destructing

Over the past three decades the Republican Party has reduced the size of it's tent. In the process it has lost the moderate voices like those of Nelson Rockerfeller & Henry Jackson. The result has been vicious attacks on those considered RINOs (Republicans in name only). This is particulary true with respect to social issues. The party of Lincoln & Teddy Roosevelt no…

The Future of Black should be present.

The Future of Black should be present.

As I sit down write I think about kid. I think about his future. I think about my future. I feel that Black people are resemblance to the Israelites of Moses day, “Lost in the Wilderness” I think that we are Free to direct ourselves but recent leadership. That is why there is no clear leadership of Black people as a whole. Black people are in an unhealthy state, and refuse to acknowledge it, and refuse to seek rehabilitation. Black…
