practical action
A modest proposal
“Only the organized get to play.” Attributed to David Stockman.
“Sticking with what we’ve got will get us what we’ve got.” Tex Wood
The current, surprising, active reaction (Occupy Wall Street, the 99%ers, 99ers, the Redneck Party, the generally insulted and enraged) to the status quo and to having permitted (and voted for) the hijacking of our government by huge corporations, bankers, and other silk-suited SOBs…

WHY WAIT?
WHY WAIT…????
WHY DO WE WAIT UNTIL A LEADER DIES
BEFORE WE TAKE A STAND
GIVE HIM/HER A HELPING HAND
BE A WOMAN OR A MAN?
WHY WAIT UNTIL A WARRIOR IS ON THE BRINK TO FALL
TO BREAK, TO STALL, TO BE WIPED AWAY FROM OUR RECALL
BEFORE WE TAKE A SWORD FROM HIS HAND
TAKE A STAND
BE A WOMAN OR A MAN
WHY WAIT UNTIL THE STRUGGLE’S OVER
AFTER THE DEATH OF THE VICTORIOUS FOUR LEAF CLOVER
BEFORE…

My Dedication To Dr. M.L.King and All The Past Civil Rights Leaders Who Died For Justice
This is an Appellant's Brief to a civil rights lawsuit: filed 1/21/2012 electronically and sent by certified mail.
It is Pro Se or done by a non attorney such as myself. Don't panic if you see a grammatical error or two, get into the reasoning, logic and the law.
This is not perfect, but I gave it all I got... I probably won't get justice no matter if I'm right or have evidence, or have my facts straight, but at least I tried.
Peace and love
Jacquelyn…

The conscious world is where you find human value...
Dear progressives,
Without conscience there is NO value... The BIBLE is an IMPERIAL document, the END justifies the MEANS...? Cause & effect is nowhere in the BOOK of GENESIS... The symbol of GOD's WILL is all there is to save yourself from yourself...? That's an individual life without PURPOSE or MEANING...? GOD's WILL represents everything, absolute NONSENSE...
BIBLICAL IMPERIAL AMERICA: in GOD we TRUST, TOP down DOGMATISM, The END justifies the MEANS, BIBLICAL IMPERIAL…

"Move to Amend" - Popular, But Misguided
My position on the "Move to Amend" topic (if you don't know, it is the leader among several "movements" to amend the U.S. Constitution to overturn the ruling two years ago by the U.S. Supreme Court, "Citizens United v. FEC", that in effect gives "personhood" to corporations, allowing them unlimited expression of "free speech" in the form of campaign donations to political parties and candidates, who already receive "laundered" money through political action committees — PACs). My…

disposable veterans
My focus in life is to bring attention to U.S. veterans who have been deported to their countries of birth after having served faithfully in active duty but who had run-ins with the criminal justice system and were convicted of a crime. These people, mostly men, have lived in the U.S. most of their lives and their wives and children are U.S. citizens. While on active duty they were deployed as part of military units where being U.S. born or an immigrant made no difference. They were all…

Is the 21st century the age of entrepreneurship for Black America?
The Oregonian newspaper published an article on my keynote address at the MLK Breakfast at the Oregon Convention Center. Check it out.
Let me know if you think this is the era of entrepreneurship for Black America.

RED TAILS: The Tuskegee Airmen
Before you see these gladiators of the sky choreograph aerial ‘dogfights’ seemingly impossible outside of “Snoopy’s” imagination, allow me to share a perspective to offer some context. “And, to the last man, we fight – we fight – we fight,” a mantra that Afrikan-American men, resound in their hearts everyday. A chant that resonates among the conscious men of color who realize that the battles for our sanity & a piece of the “American pie” are a daily…

Grateful to be affiliating on this "Holy Day"
As a long-time reader/subscriber to The Nation magazine where the Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.'s "Last Steep Ascent" speech was first published, I'm especially appreciative to have been accepted into your ranks of progressive liberals who perceptively FEEL the great Truths of "Equality" in the precept "e pluribus unum," and its recognition we ALL gain "strength through diversity."

How I Honor Dr. M. L. King and Other's Civil Rights Struggles
The Civil Right Struggle Continues
By What You Really Do
I may not have won all the legal fights I fought.
But I gave each attempt some serious thought.
I picked up the banner of all our civil rights.
Although I struggled by myself many days and nights.
These were my real contributions to Dr. King's Dream.
To set our oppressors…

Many people wonder why Republican legislators are so unrelenting on President Obama. Frederick Douglass gave us the answer many years ago.

a proposal sent to Senator Lautenburgh and Senator Menendez
I have made a proposal to both of the above named Senators, from my state, at the moment, of New Jersey. Senator Lautenburgh did respond to it with a favorable reply. He said he would propose it to the Senate Finance Committee. (doubt that has happened). In any case, I would appreciate any feedback from anyone with an opinion on this idea!
First of all, we must recognize a few facts about this recession. One: The only way to stimulate this economy is to create jobs, and…
