My focus in life is to bring attention to U.S. veterans who have been deported to their countries of birth after having served faithfully in active duty but who had run-ins with the criminal justice system and were convicted of a crime. These people, mostly men, have lived in the U.S. most of their lives and their wives and children are U.S. citizens.     I have made a proposal to both of the above named Senators, from my state, at the moment, of New Jersey.  Senator Lautenburgh did respond to it with a favorable reply.  He said he would propose it to the Senate Finance Committee.  (doubt that has happened).  In any case, I would appreciate any feedback from anyone with an opinion on this idea!
