I know, and I agree with the fact that if people had an opportunity to become a Professional Nurse or an LPN, they'd do it. It does start with ending, or at the very least actively addressing institutionalized discrimination. Some communities start grooming their students from pre-school to be college graduates. Math, science, reading comprehension, and vocabulary. Our/my community did not and as far as I know has not done the same. So when I showed up to a university, I struggled. I realized how unprepared I was. Then I had nothing to rely on except my intelligence, maturity, hustle, and sheer determination.
We need a diverse health care work force. The communities in the US are not all White female.
Somebody hand me my robe, cos' I'm finna' preach up in here today.
