Addressing The Balck Agenda

Addressing The Black Agenda.

Passion is an emotion, a craving, a hunger and a desire that drives and promote action. Verbal outburst  and reckless expressions generated from passion may occur at times when misuse and abuse lingers without redress. This is true regardless of gender, race, creed or color.  The Black Community in America is and has been for decades…

Walter, thanks for friending me. Haven't been here in a long time. Working on a "Legacy" law project and it has taken a lot of my time. It is very nice to make your acquaintance. Will send message.

Thanks Mr. Simmons. I'm so glad to get a positive response from you. Hope you have time to take a look at the links I sent to you. Didn't have enough room to say what I wanted to in the initial post.

I really appreciate your comment. I listened to the Gene Chandler and Jerry Butler song. Wonderful "Love" song to the world. Songs like that don't get much play. I wonder why I haven't heard it before. Well, many people will hear it now because I'm posting it to my fb page. Thanks for informing us. Peace and Love to you, too.

The strongest organization in my community is the Urban League. It used to be the NAACP, but their numbers have reduced due to the fact people wanted legal assistance. Because legal assistance from the NAACP caused a backlash if people did not get the results they wanted; people would want to sue them. Now they are stigmatized by the disarray from this fall out fromthe result of the results. I don't even know where their offices are, they used to be in the Lyles Mall (Lenny Lyles - UofL athlete, Baltimore Colt - Super bowl III member).

The Urban League has job fairs and they serve as the community information organization; home buying, helping you understand state rules and regulation for your community, legal advice (not assistance); they serve as the community action organization, etc. Their role is one which is not used to its full advantage. None the less, they are still there. The other organization is Small Business Administration who of course is the link for those who wish to be entrepreneurers.

These organizations are there but are they used to their full advantage? We just need to turn to them when we need guidance including, networking the system. What is very important is people need to stay in the know. Organizations do not fail people. People fail people, meaning we need to have the requirement of them and continue to stay in the presence of them. Because you get the job, or they assist you with legal or a community issue, does not mean you can just walk away. You must continue to consistently stay in communication; helping them fight the concerns of the community. Never turning our back to them and not allowing them to turn their back on us. We voted for Barack Obama for president, but we also needed to help him in the mid-term elections. The shellacking happened. God never turns his back on us, we turn our back to him; a sin in and of itself. I am not referring to Obama as God, but true unity can only happen when we stand to
