I AM a father and a grandfather. I AM a man of faith, prayer and my word. I fear nothing but God and will bow to no man, nor will I worship any graven image.

Outside of my faith, my family is the most important thing to me.
{Sadly, I have learned in this life that though people may be your family, it doesn't mean that they are family oriented}

I AM an ardent supporter of education and learning, believing that one can ever know too much, and that ALL should avail themselves of study in different areas.

PHILANTHROPY
I AM founder & CEO of The Walters Foundation, a 501(c)3 non-profit originally designed to help address issues that the modern day church chose to ignore or was unwilling to address.
The focus of the organization changed recently to fundraising to help deserving students cover tuition and books that choose to attend Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU's).

VOLUNTEERING
I have and still volunteer [20+ years] my time to tutor those wanting help with Reading and/or Mathematics skills at the Public Library in my community.

FREEMASONRY
I AM presently a member of the MW Prince Hall Grand Lodge F&AM of the State of South Carolina and Jurisdiction via membership in Silver Lodge #35 F&AM located in Pinewood, South Carolina.

I have held membership in both the Prince Hall Grand Lodge[1990-2000] (PHA) and mainstream Grand Lodge[2000-2011] (MS) in America and have recently returned membership to Prince Hall Grand Lodge.
In the Prince Hall Grand Lodge (NC, OH, SC), I AM a Past Master [4 times] and a Past Grand Lodge Officer (appointed 4 times; once as DDGM and 3 times as DDGL).

I AM presently writing a book detailing my travels and journeys through Prince Hall & Mainstream Freemasonry in America, which to most won't be flattering, but will be an honest assessment of the problems plaguing American Freemasonry, especially mainstream Freemasonry and the attitudes of it's membership towards Blacks in general, Black men, Prince Hall masonry and recognition of Prince Hall Grand Lodges.

I AM also a member of the Phylaxis Society (Regional Representative Region II West Virginia) and the Philalethes Society, both of which are education & research organizations independent of any Grand Lodge.

PROFESSIONAL LIFE
I AM by profession, an Electrical Engineer (PE), a Master Electrician/Class A Power Lineman (20+ years), I have experience in aviation, military, mining, oilfield and railroad settings worldwide dealing with ALL aspects of high and low voltage electrical, electronic, telecommunication, fiber optic, broadband, microwave, CATV, CCTV, alarm/electronic security systems, fire control systems, airfield lighting systems and static grounding systems.

I AM also qualified as a Journeyman Mason/ Bricklayer [operative mason] and will always feel honored that I have acquired the skills of a family trade.
I held membership in the International Union of Bricklayers & Allied Craft-workers Local #7 in Denver, Colorado.

I AM also a fully licensed, qualified and experienced Truck Operator 6 tons plus. I have operated and owned my own heavy trucks, getting out of ownership in 2005 as fuel prices sky rocketed.
I still hold membership in the International Brotherhood of Teamsters, Chauffeurs, Warehouseman & Helpers Local #92 in Canton, Ohio.

In addition I hold licensing as a Certified Crane Operator- boom, derrick overhead and telescopic as well as various types of lifts and lift trucks.

Yes, along the way, I have encountered people who made snap judgments about me because I was shorter than them, I had a different eye color, spoke differently or am African-American. They decided I did not measure up, but I chose to ignore them and believe in myself.
I have been able to succeed in life and to overcome people who put obstacles in my path.
