"Oh my, my, my, again, I will make the point: assuming that no one is ever perfect, I often rely on a quote from a person often quoted throughout the ages, "Let he who is without sin cast the first stone."
"My eternal thanks to you, Brother Cornel, for bearing witness to the many injustices endured in what was once a developing democracy. Lest we forget, you also were arrested recently in Harlem as you stood with the Occupy Wall…"
"You got it right again, Brother West. No question about it. Barack Obama is really good at "talking-the-talk" as the con-man that he turned out to be. So now he wants "the millionaires to pay more." Well…"
"I agree with both of you, but what really hurts those who supported this man in 2008, including myself, is how deeply disappointed we all are over the fact that Barack Obama will not stand up to the global corporatist oligarchy that obviously…"
"Peace, Brother Bond, Peace. I do feel your pain, but do take a moment to read the Chris Hedges column at www.trughdig.com and hopefully you will give some consideration to his message as well as the message of Dr. Cornel West."
"For all those "liberals" who continue to stand in denial in defense of our faux democracy controlled by the corporate state and the global corporatist oligarchy, please read the Chris Hedges piece at www.truthdig.com today, "Why…"
"An interesting discussion, but with the African American unemployment rate at 17.3 percent, I find it inexcusable that Mr. Obama would so conspicuously delay his meeting with the CBC for too many months. My view is that he just did not want to…"
"I have the same questions raised by both Smiley and West regarding the killing of Usama Bin Laden. The "mission" from the very start was to kill Bin Laden--no thought of capturing him under any circumstance. I am old enough to…"
We put too much power and discretion into the hands of the legislators and elected officials without a prepared agenda from the community, city, and state to follow. Political Parties cannot set an agenda for the American people. Their job is to implement. There should be more organization at the grass root level to address the issues that affect the American People as a whole. The development of our youth cannot be limited to the time they spend in the public school system. In order to make America a more perfect union, we must seriously clean it up and dispel the myths. The question is, are we ready to do that? Lets talk that talk and walk that walk. “ I am no better and neither are you, we’re all the same what ever we do. Republican, Democrat, Tea Party and then, makes not different what group I’m in”
“I am still everyday people”. How can we move forward with a progressive agenda that benefits all whom it affects?
