Today There are three times as many homeless and poor in this country. I personally feel those that are in office do not have clue to what is really going on in America. No one seems to care about the underclass. Who is really hearing the cries of the poor and homeless? What troubles me and continues to break my heart as I continue to volunteer my time at the homeless shelter in my community families with children continue to be the norm. Shelters are becoming more families instead of those out of work and on hard times between jobs. Families are losing the very shirts off of their backs. The children are the ones that suffer most. Where are these so called politicans that say they are for the people? God only knows. I sometimes feel so helpless as I council and love on those who feel like no one cares about them. These are individuals who have lost their jobs, many whose unemployment ran out and was put out on the street causing many to lose their homes and apartments. Is this America for all the people or for the privilege? I am really trying very hard to understand... If any one is listening. Help me to understand why this country has turned its back on its citizens. Yes I am a fighter for the cause. I have recently started the Empowerment Zoneworkshop which helps our young people develop Training and Entreneurship skills to start their own businesses.. So on that note if anyone can give me some nuggests of wisdom I will gladly embrace and apply it to what I am feeling and dealing with. I will also share it with the individuals at the homeless shelter where I volunteer my time. God bless.
