By now anyone who has a television is familiar with the Trayvon murder case. Although it has made headline news, although we have heard many sides of the story, and although there has been so many sides taken there is one thing that remains certain, A Child who was unarmed was murdered and the killer was never arrested by the Sanford Police Department! This speaks volumes for the tightly knit good ole boy network in that town. The facts remain in spite of anything that George Zimmerman, who has spoken through his surrogates says concerning his asserted defense that he stood his ground due to his being victimized by the deceased child, there is the 911 tape that calls into question his self defense claim that may potential give him problems in the court hearing concerning the stand your ground law, Sir are you following him? Zimmerman-Yes, We don't need you to do that, They always get away with it??? If that is not enough, there is the girlfriend of Trayvon who was on the phone with him up within a few minutes of the murder and these words, yes more words, will cause him problems in court as it corroborates the first question as to who the aggressor was, Trayvon-There is someone following me, Girlfriend-Well run, Trayvon-No I will walk fast, but George caught up to him, Zimmerman is still the aggressor! This raises the question, Was Trayvon entitled to stand his ground with a man who was confronting him with a gun? Then there was the testimony of the woman whose backyard the shooting occurred in who called the police and told them that she heard a child crying for help and then a gunshot and everything went silent! But wait! George said it was him who weighed twice as much as the victim who was crying for help! For forensic experts say that it was not him! Ooopps!
This brings me to start wondering in the midst of all of these contradictions, why is it that the Sanford Police department never issued a warrant on Zimmerman and arrest him? That is but one question. The other question is why did they obstruct justice? Obstruction of Justice being defined in short terms as interfering with the administration or process of law. Lets look closer. 1-it is standard operating procedure of a law enforcement entity that when you receive a call concerning a shooting, and you arrive at the location to find a dead body and a shooter at the scene, then that location becomes an official crime scene. The first responder which is the officer who arrived should bring out the yellow tape and secure the scene and not move the body, you secure the shooter's gun and handcuff them and place them in the patrol car. 2-You then call the station and tell them that there has been a shooting and to send out the crime scene investigators. 3-Once your back-up arrives, you take the shooter to the police station, secure the clothes of the shooter to run gun powder residue tests, blood tests, and collect it for other testing, and he is questioned by homicide detectives. 4-The crime scene is then examined for blood stains, pictures of the body, how the person fell, and a knock on the homes that are in close proximity of the shooting for potential witnesses. The shooter is held for 72 hours pending an investigation of his statement. During that time the coroner has a preliminary cause of death, and the detectives will know the type of investigation to launch. The victims body whould have been given gun powder residue tests as well to determine if there was a struggle. The gun would be dusted for one or more sets of prints. But the Sanford Police department just brought George to the station, and the state attornet blocked the homicide detective from charging him with manslaughter on that night. This makes me wonder if the obstruction of justice was deliberate.
People are wondering why Attorney General Eric Holder is continuing their investigation. It is because of these reasons coupled with the defendant's behavior and alleged racial slurs before shooting the teenager. It is also attributed to the history of Sanford Polce department as it relates to absolving other persons and officers who have murdered youth in that town with no consequences to the shooters. I believe that the corruption in deeply entrenched in this department and that an investigation will unclover it. Once that is conducted, the federal government should take the Sanford Police department into federal receivorship and operate it until all of the corrupt officials are either indicted, removed, or resign. That will be justice!

Righ on Professor! the Sanford police dept has a long history of police brutality & corruption. They must be shut down! Eric Holder is just the person to do it. I have a new found faith in him, that he will begin to flex his powers.
