Permalink Reply by Ricardo Jones on May 2, 2012 at 8:46am We need to take a hard look at the presidents appointee's. The three to EEOC are all Harvard Law school conservatives like the president. So the EEOC now has a conservative agenda towards civil rights for Black people!!!
Permalink Reply by Michael Hurst on May 10, 2012 at 1:25pm OK, I have many reasons for not wanting to vote for Obama, and I probably will not.
Here, I will point out just one of the reasons: His failure to act aggressively to end the new jim crow that is putting generations of black and latino males in prison disproportionately to real crime.
Obama has not even spoken out against this, or even its feeder system called Stop and Frisk, and driving while black.
I watched every Black leader I respected over the years be asassinated or murdered. From Lamumba to MLK to Mark Clark and Fred Hamption, and on and on (and yes, I am old enough to be their contemporary). This current massive incarceration in only a continuation of the assault on the dignity of strong Black men.
Obama's legacy in this area derives from the parlor and not the working fields.
There is more, but this hurts my heart the most.
Permalink Reply by Ricardo Jones on May 13, 2012 at 11:39pm This is how White Bigots took over the EEOC from Black Bigots. Bigots v. Bogots at the EEOC.
Joseph Ray Terry had all the right credentials: as a lawyer, he had spent many years fighting discrimination against minorities. His employer, the EEOC, had consistently given Mr. Terry “superior” and “excellent” performance reviews. But Mr. Terry was white, and he was forced to repeatedly sue the EEOC in order to win a promotion for which he had been applying for over 10 years!
Mr. Terry is a white, Louisiana-trained lawyer. In 1984 he submitted his first application within EEOC to become a district director for EEOC. Over the next 10 years EEOC repeatedly turned Terry down because he is white, and EEOC promoted many “disadvantaged minorites” ahead of Mr. Terry, one of whom did not even have a high school diploma. District Director Opus Perry a Black attorney never found any Race (Black) discrimination in New Orleans LA and he was promoted to District Director of a larger Black community of Los Angelas CA.

Permalink Reply by Ricardo Jones on June 9, 2012 at 11:45am Many of our Black elitist have formed white values or lack of values. All white people aren't bad and/or all Black people aren't good. They have crossed the color line in their minds. The KKK will show them the tree and rope no matter where (Havard and/or Columbia) University they were allowed to attend and/or how much white blood they have. Easy to pretend to be white hard to be morally just. Many died so we can vote. Let's not forget Civil Rights Act of 1964 and Voters Rights Act of 1965. In chicago 1968 Dem convention Black delegates were denied access and the chicago police attacked and beat Black delegates. Have we forgot?
Racial profiling is a common practice against Black's in NYC. The NYPD set-up safety checks points near housing projects where people of color live. The criminals who aren't of color get a free pass from the NYPD in NYC. Many have a get-out of jail card (PBA card) they buy from their NYPD officer friends. This card get them special treatment before and after arrest by NYPD and NYC jailers. NYC is the largest Black community in the country and the Blacks can't or won't stop this civil rights violation. This is the tip of the iceberg. Many young blacks are arrested for no reason and forced into the corrupt criminal justice system. If the young Blacks could get work or find work they wouldn't be profiled illegally by the NYPD. Most of the Black complaints of Title VII race (black) discrimination are dismissed by the rogue EEOC, DOL and city and states human rights agencies. This must stop now what has the DOJ done look the other way.

Permalink Reply by Ricardo Jones on June 9, 2012 at 12:41pm Michael I'm sorry the truth hurts. The president isn't a leader like MLK Jr, Malcom X, Medger Evers, Emite Till, Marcus Garvey, A. Philip Randolph, Lamumba, Nelson Mandela, Steve Biko and many others to include many Black females. Going to Columbia, Harvard and working with the Daly's in chicago makes Obama what? Why didn't many of us ask these questions in 2008?

Permalink Reply by Ricardo Jones on June 24, 2012 at 8:04am This is the get out of jail free card which allows the EEOC to commit crimes, frauds and take bribes. The president can correct this with an executive order if he's honest.
When individuals file lawsuits against the EEOC for alleged fraud, neglience, and other impropriety in processing their respective discrimination charges, the court has ruled against the plaintiff asserting the following: Congress has not authorized, either expressly or impliedly, a cause of action against the EEOC for the EEOC's alleged negligence or other malfeasance in processing an employment discrimination. See Smith v. Casella, 119 F. 3d.

Permalink Reply by Mark Taylor-Canfield on June 25, 2012 at 11:12pm I have interviewed both Green Party presidential candidate Jill Stein www.jillstein.org and Justice Party candidate Rocky Anderson www.voterocky.org and they both make a lot of sense.
I'm not saying that I expect them to get elected, but they will be on the ballots in most states in November.
They are especially honest about their criticisms of the Democratic Party.
I addressed the Progressive Caucus at the Washington State Democratic Convention in Seattle and although this group was firmly behind the OWS movement and gave me warm applause and cheers,I must admit that the leadership is much more worried about raising one billion dollars for the Obama campaign than what's happening on the streets.
Some sympathetic Dems actually discouraged me from running for office as a Democratic Party candidate for office because they don't want me or other occupy activists to become corrupted and co-opted by the process-oriented political party process.
Bottom line: my resolution endorsing OWS was buried and I was outmaneuvered .bureaucratically.
So, there is an unspoken agreement among the Democrats that they are not going to publicly endorse the Occupy Wall Street movement. The activists do not want to endorse political candidates for office.
That's where we stand in 2012.
Permalink Reply by Mark Taylor-Canfield on June 25, 2012 at 11:24pm I'm sure I don't have to remind folks that the top two contributors to the Obama presidential campaign have been employees from JP Morgan/Chase and Lehman Brothers?
Let's face it - Wall Street is funding this election on both sides...
It should not be a surprise to anyone that the Democratic Party leadership doesn't want to endorse the Occupy Wall Street movement's campaign to hold the banksters accountable, despite their rhetoric about financial reform!
They are not willing to bite the hand that feeds them.
