Today, while visiting the Smiley & West Show on Facebook which apparently is a "fan Club" I experienced what was intended to humiliate me and Black women by a "fan" who referred to me as  b****.  This Black Brother went on to use other vulgarities that ,certainly, as a Black and Proud community, we have been diligent in trying to eliminate from our own communities.

I sincerely hope that Tavis Smiley and Cornel West will consider addressing this within their fan club with a disclaimer that they do not and will not tolerate this when they are being represented

However, kudos to you for handling it appropriately. Your refusal to engage allowed you to retain your power, because you don't have to attend every argument you're invited to.

 

There seems to be an underlying issue that plagues this inidivudal, and it doesn't have anything to do with you personally. A button was pushed, and you were a punching bag for which to unload some frustration. If that's any consolation, though.
