President Obama: An Example of Godly Love!!!
In spite of the many innuendoes, and the shameless and baseless attacks of the racial dividers Sean Hannity, Bill O’Reilly, and Rush Limbaugh with the help of their fellow journalistic miscreants, concerning then Senator Obama’s relationship with Dr. Jeremiah Wright, the true message of then Mr. Obama’s relationship with his Pastor has been lost in translation. The true message of a spiritual father to any son is the impartation of the fruit of the spirit which is what the former Senator from Illinois has displayed before the world, as he has continuously had his character attacked, and his good name under siege through a constant array of shameless tabloid journalism attacks by the infidels of Fox News, and the surrogates of other outlets whose interest is the maintenance of the status quo. My only hope is that his innocent children were not watching and were not exposed to these character assassinations and
chants of “arab,” “socialist,” “anti-christ,” “nigger,” “terrorist,” and “kill him,” at the McCain/Palin rallies, and even at the GOP rallies on the Sean Hannity, Rush Limbaugh, Bill O’Reilly, and Glen Beck shows. Yet in spite of these hate-fests, and preemptive media strikes, this man stood his ground and continues to display the Fruit of the Spirit. What is this fruit? I am so glad that you asked.
First of all, defined, the fruit of the spirit is the lists used to describe what a Christian's character grows into, over time. The cultivation of the fruit is achieved through the careful instruction of the spiritual father (Dr. Wright), as he and God teaches and imparts the wisdom to the son (then Senator Obama), concerning how to love the hateful, how to maintain your joy while you are under attack, how to be patient when you are anxious, how to display kindness, gentleness, and goodness in an evil environment, how to remain faithful and always reaching out towards a people who want to destroy you, but most of all, how to maintain your self-control (temperance) when you are tempted to attack your enemies while they are relentlessly attacking you. I should know, because as I followed this election cycle through the debates in the primaries with Senator Clinton, to the debates with Senator McCain, to the hate fest of the Republican National convention, to the current hateful rhetoric that I continue to hear from Senator McCain, Governor Palin, and their media support network at Fox News, and to be honest it angered me to see such public openness in displaying hate, and I am a Christian! However, in spite of it all, President Obama taught me “How to love my enemies,” how to suffer long, how not to behave rudely, how to not allow yourself to be provoked, how to remain humble, how to not think evilly or rejoice in sin, but to rejoice in the truth. Trust me I am not naïve to the insurmountable task that is ahead of him as he attempts to unite a country that hates better than it loves. If the current climate is any indication of things to come, he has his work cut out for him. But we cannot afford to leave America in the current state that it is in. Therefore in spite of the resistance, in spite of the hatred, then Senator Obama continues to beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, and endureth all things, as he displays to the World what an example of Godly love looks like, and that is a testament to the character of God and of his former Pastor, Dr. Jeremiah Wright.
