Faith... Must be enforced by reason...When faith becomes blind it dies. Now for those who have faith in President Obama, WHAT'S YOUR REASON!??
If we as a people (People of Color) are to have any creditably worldwide, WE MUST REJECT THIS CORPORATE SPONSOR DISGUISE AS A REPRESENTATIVE
OF THE PEOPLE.
IT IS WHAT IT IS, DON'T LET THE ELITE NEGROS (BOULE) PULL THE WOOL OVER YOUR EYES!!
Don't waste your time on focusing on me; I have no ability to affect your life :)!!

I think we all need to get to work. I can't see how one man can change the condition of a people until the people play a major role in that change. Even if you fired every one in office and at the end of the day what would be the profit from the effort? Right, the problem still remains. invested time that brings dividends is time worth spent.

Permalink Reply by Walter Simtec Simmons on September 28, 2011 at 6:51pm I am glad to answer your question. President Obama has been the ONLY PRESIDENT in the past 20 years at least that has delivered on his campaign promises. He is the man of ONE WIFE, and is not out somewhere getting his freak on like the "family values" gop party. He believes in God and exercises "long suffering" which is the fruit of the spirit in action. However, I understand how its hard to recognize integrity in the midst of so many pseudo black leaders who have had two decades to address the plight of the black community but chose to have black tie awards ceremonies and look the other way! You know who they are. Never have I seen such disrespect for the "office of President" by the pseudo-intellectuals, the high tech uncle toms, programmed aunt jemimas, rednecks, kkk, white/black supremacists, fake christians and capitalists alike. What also find interesting is how the black community is utterly silent while mainstays in the black community who attempt to manipulate and exploit the plight of the black community into a financial windfall one day, and appear on Fox News during another time! They know who they are but the very kneegroes who complain about the President, gives free passes to the CBC and the pseudo leaders and preachers who help noone but themselves and their click. Perhaps the critics can take off their bedroom slippers and tell us why they choose to demonize our Black President but cowardly remained silent when the past Presidents dismantled America. Who knows maybe its an issue likened unto "crabs in a barrel."
Permalink Reply by Walter Simtec Simmons on September 28, 2011 at 7:01pm people I want your vote but, There is just one other thing to that people I want your vote but the republicans hold the house and so after I get your vote maybe you can support me as you did when I became the first black president or maybe, you can help me with senate and write or make calls support it really dosn't matter thow we just had 80 people incarcerated and a bunch of protestors bullied on wall street its called support and the support is not for anyone but us they didn't have to do this they new there was a need to do this wall street has crushed us. there is know support for the middle class and the rich need to be taxed and finally the president called in his card the middle class has know more left to give it isn't about anyone but us who are broke loosing our homes and just plain afraid afraid of where our future goes. I do not think people would care if the president was blue as long as they get some help my argument is about rascism and the focal point of it at this time the people have know time for it and know I don't have to pay attention but I believe if we got off the same old same old and put the energy and focal point on pushing for things like the buffet law or decided to see how in 2002 the NAFTA aggreement that president bush put back into play shipped all our company's and employment overseas and was used for almost 10 years and who know if is still in use or these kids and there budget cut for school maybe we would not have time to mope about rascism I myself was one of the first hipanic family on my block and it was real bad for a long time we were always outcasted but I turned it into a positive and tried to change that attitude when and where does it end the most I read here at times is the president is an uncle Tom or he turned his back on his people it wasn't purposly done to his race of people it affected all of us everyone down below that wasn't rich so why not say the president isn't helping the people not his people and I hate to tell you but democrats do not hold the house so its starting at the loosing end when ever he steps in the room with a proposal that is why he campaigned so hard during the senate race to try and get votes for the democrat partys and truly if this is what it is for people about the president jumping ship on his people for some it is ignorance it wasn't just getting an african american into office and the partys over its back, back what we need support it the man has his back against the wall he inhereited a mess republicans don't want to help so we are the ones who have to do it we have to push for now just like wall streets protest about bailouts taxes and mortgages race race or who is rich and fake that's not gonna help seniors and there social security or our familys keep there homes it is just an added burden and what will it be if the next president is white he screwiing over the black people or hispanic's it just has to end our people are so overburdened already every one has an opinion easy to talk the talk how bout walking the walk
If there is a reason why we did not come out against Bush while over EIGHT YEARS HE DESTROYED THE ECONOMY WITH THE REUBLICAN PARTY GANGING UP ON THE MIDDLE CLASS please let me know. Because it is relevant to the discussion that we are having right now! First of all, in case anyone is not watching, the GOP does not like or wish to help the following groups of people:
1) The Immigrants: Yes thats right, the immigrants who they continue to pass State laws to ship them out with the Obama administration not passing a "comprehensive immigration bill" until he has time to write it in such a way as it does not discriminate against them. Funny thing, when the GOP was working them like slaves for under the minimum wage and paying them under the table all was well. But now that they represent a great voting bloc then they want to ship them out to maintain the status quo. Talk about that with the family for a little while if you don't mind.
2) The Negroes: They definitely don't like any of us. Heck they just murdered a black man in Georgia! Yet you remain on the President's case? Unless you flunked out of civics class, you understand that the President does not make the laws, the House and the Senate does! But please don't let the facts get in the way. We have sat by while the President has been called a dick, a muslim, the anti-christ, a terrorist, a liar on the floor of the Senate, has been said no to everytime he drafts legislation to get america working by a GOP who destroyed the ecoe you nomy and got filthy rich under Wubya. Yet you have a problem with only one man! Maybe it is the perpetual self hatred that we perpetuate against ourselves, or maybe we always want to "fit in" and feel important. Haley Barbour from MS refused to condemn a KKK license plate as Governor. Rick Scott from FL has cut funding to historically black colleges, Gov. Lepaige of Maine told the NAACP to kiss his azz, and lets not forget Rush, Hannity, Beck who are always stoking the flames of racism, yet you say nothing! Wow!!! Why don't you weigh in on all of the issues? Now I don't have a problem with anyone engaging in any intellectual discourse on the "voting issues" like voter suppression from closing the post office to block absentee ballots for voters in rural areas, to passing voter id laws and closing the id locations. Chronic unemployment, overrepresentation in the CJ system, murder of innocent men, gun laws, union busting, outsourcing of jobs, etc. But please don't waste my time on the vitriolic venom that you are spewing against our President unless you are going to assign blame where it is due, the GOP. Grow up and join other Americans as we read the facts and gain an understanding of the true issues which are not about color but SOCIOECONOMIC STATUS! If you ain't rich you are on your own saith the GOP. The taxpayer's money is for me and my buddies to spend and not you. Wake Up before you find yourselves under a bridge with a tin cup in your hand asking for alms...

Permalink Reply by Mizan Kirby-Nunes on September 29, 2011 at 9:47am What you have stated is true about the national politics in our nation. The question of War in North Africa is another issue. The Wars in Africa are of course related to Economics yes, including the United States. Of course as a black woman, born in the New World, I have been accused of many things but never of failing civics classes. The complexity of power in America means often that to make a moral or ethical choice against the demands for the military industrial complex, leads to vilification, added to this is the unity of the race behind Our President. Sarkozy of France felt the French flag was denigrated in Libya and Cameron of Britain saw some benefits to war in Libya. Why did President Obama begin bombing Libya? We are told it was humanitarian bombing. I believe I can raise questions. I may not agree with every word presented by Brother Mark Wells, but I am happy for the discussion. Professor C.L. Sanders you are not the only one who cares about the issues you raise.
