Well, anything ole Newt says shouldn't be a surprise. His hatred of anything culturally diverse has been known for a long time until we found out about his sister...lol. Then he went into obscurity and now we've allowed his rhetoric to return with the same stupidity he left here with. He's a non-entity and as long as we ignore him he'll eventually get the message and return to his h***. Fox News and their affiliates have given a lot of the disenfranchised white folks a platform to expound their venom and its time that we take aim and get rid of the crackpots on their shows....they even have a brother who has joined the fodder (whew).

Name-calling is nothing new to us, is it??? We've endured that too and came out on the other side but what we need to do is make sure that we don't internalize it. Also, not giving them a forum will help to quiet the chatter. Brother West, I will see you in NY on 10/14 and I am so looking forward to it!!!
Dr. West stated "Americans are going to see this for what it is"...

Not on their own sir. At this point in time, nothing can be assumed. There is an entire television network openly involved in an effort to discredit everything Barack Obama is doing. They have Miniskirts & Minions on call twenty-four hours a day, seven days per week. No sir, the devil is not going to be seen for what he is...that only happened a long time ago when he was cast out of perfection...

Sound the trumpet and they will listen, let them sleep and they will snore through their demise...
When people remain small, refuse to see outside their safe communities, refuse to see the world as it is. They feel like they are entitled and things must continue to move around them as they have always been accustom to. So when change comes some get scared of this reality, fight what they fear losing by all means. When change does not accommendate their self centered existence then they disrespect the rights of others, and hateful acts soon follow. Hate can be blinding and blind actions can be scary, however I think things manifesting as they appear to be manifesting; may just prove to be what is needed at this time to drive home to the rational among the nation; the urgency to bind together and support leadership that are working for the welfare of the masses in a rational way. That anti-force has no way to go but to the bottom...... Some times having the sense to be scared is a blessing. We may just get scared enough to finally wake up from the nightmare with some sound thinking and make the strategic and creative moves needed......... I do have a gut feeling, however, that this will back fire because the supporters of this movement are so out of touch with the times and the people. Those that are so concern need to awaken the masses vote and call for political enlightenment.
The one thing I love about Conservatives is that they are not afraid to be the bad guys. Democrats always take the high road only to get burned. I was born and raised in NC and I will never forget how that racist Jesse Helms won year after year after year. He was never afraid to get dirty and play on white fear and it worked perfectly for him. During the 1990 Senate race between him and the black canidate Harvey Gant, he aired the now famous commercial of two white hands holding a rejection letter. The letter stated that he had been overlooked for someone who was lesser qualified but met their quota. It was a blatant swipe at affirmative action and the belief that if this black man were elected Senator, he would take all jobs from whites and give them to blacks. Gantt took the high road didn't comment on the commercial or even fire back one just as ugly and nasty and wound up losing the election. The same thing for John Kerry and the SwiftBoats and Obama and the Healthcare plan. Obama let these Republicans make all these wild accusations about his Healthcare plan. The Democrats tried to take the high road and ignore it until they started losing public support. Like Sean Connery said in the Untouchables "They put one of yours in the hospital, you put one of theirs in the morgue"
Fear and paranoia is a powerful tool that can be used to devastating effects politically and this is a pretty low form of it. The tactics of both D'Souza and Gingrich is something Glenn "rodeo clown" Beck would be proud of (which is why Beck had D'Souza on his television show the past 2 days. Surprised... NOT!!!). You break all this down, this is a form of fear mongering by both Gingrich and D'Souza as they try to place President Obama under a certain narrative to scare people with such obvious racial and cultural undertones. This is low down and gutter bucket on their part. They both should be ashamed of themselves. Oh I'm sorry, we're talking about Dinesh D'Souza and Newt Gingrich, they have no shame.
Joseph Goebbels is smiling with glee from Hell as these Neo-Propagandists and Neo-Fear Mongers spread their mind controlling messages. The rhetoric flowing from D'Souza and Gingrichs mouths is the raw meat scared and or weak minded seek. They deliberately or ignorantly have chosen to not explore the facts for themselves rather be lead by people and movements that will do harm to them too!

This country is trailing in education for good reason. An uneducated population is an easily controlled one. It's a deliberate effort to keep as many people incapable of critical thought so those in power can remain in power. What the narrow minded and easily mislead conservatives fail to realize is this game was pulled on the enslaved for nearly 400 years. The enslaved were prohibited from learning how to read and had to rely on what was told to them by people not looking out for the enslaved but themselves. Now, way too many people REFUSE to read and the same result is in play.
Ignorant Dolt...truer words are rarely spoken. Chris Rock has said if there is something you don't want people to know put it in a book! Americans lag in some many ways these days its actually a joke when I hear the words "Super Power", of what I always ask?

There's also a tie in between Dinesh D'Souza, Newt Gingrich, and Glenn Beck because Beck has recently featured D'Souza on both his television and radio show. In fact, on Wednesday and Thursday, D'Souza was on Beck's television show on Faux News talking about Dinesh's book that sparked this nonsense. In fact, what D'Souza and Gingrich started, Glenn Beck, the self proclaimed "rodeo clown" has continued this week on his radio an television shows. My question is, given how the colonialist ties to institution of slavery, given how many of the colonialist were in fact slaves owners themselves, why in da hell would anyone be in favor of the colonialist to begin with? Anybody with sense would anti-colonialist. As I said before, this is about creating fear, paranoia and portraying under a certain racial and cultural narrative to demonize and defame Pres. Obama. This is a shameful form of fear tactics by D'Souza, Gingrich, and now Glenn Beck.
This is just a side note. I know that this may be wrong to say or suggest and I apologize beforehand, but isn't it kinda ironic that Dinesh D'Souza, a person of color is married to a white woman named Dixie? Think about it.

They think all black folks stupid. Colonialism by definition equates to genocide. But these types of people are merely salesman pitching the most asinine b/s. They leave no stone unturned. They pitch the most craziest nonsense to see if it sticks, if it does, they run with it...NEWS FLASH!!! They probably the ones who convinced Tarzan he was king of the jungle. ::eyesrollin::
If someone had told me that an elected official who won by a substantial margin would be depicted as Adolph Hitler I'd have said that would never happen. Then the day came when I saw in an issue of the Village Voice a photograph of poster with such an image and beneath it the name Adolph Giuliani.

No one is naturally inoculated against demonizing others. After all, it does work, for a time.
Dr. West states that "...we need creative ideas not ugly name-calling."

What can be done to promote these creative ideas?
This is from "The Project For The New American Century"...
Many of the names are familiar Neo-Conservatives... but not all of them..
Advocacy for "American Empire", it seems history taught them nothing....

American foreign and defense policy is adrift. Conservatives have criticized the incoherent policies of the Clinton Administration. They have also resisted isolationist impulses from within their own ranks. But conservatives have not confidently advanced a strategic vision of America's role in the world. They have not set forth guiding principles for American foreign policy. They have allowed differences over tactics to obscure potential agreement on strategic objectives. And they have not fought for a defense budget that would maintain American security and advance American interests in the new century.

We aim to change this. We aim to make the case and rally support for American global leadership.

As the 20th century draws to a close, the United States stands as the world's preeminent power. Having led the West to victory in the Cold War, America faces an opportunity and a challenge: Does the United States have the vision to build upon the achievements of past decades? Does the United States have the resolve to shape a new century favorable to American principles and interests?

We are in danger of squandering the opportunity and failing the challenge. We are living off the capital -- both the military investments and the foreign policy achievements -- built up by past administrations. Cuts in foreign affairs and defense spending, inattention to the tools of statecraft, and inconstant leadership are making it increasingly difficult to sustain American influence around the world. And the promise of short-term commercial benefits threatens to override strategic considerations. As a consequence, we are jeopardizing the nation's ability to meet present threats and to deal with potentially greater challenges that lie ahead.

We seem to have forgotten the essential elements of the Reagan Administration's success: a military that is strong and ready to meet both present and future challenges; a foreign policy that boldly and purposefully promotes American principles abroad; and national leadership that accepts the United States' global responsibilities.

Of course, the United States must be prudent in how it exercises its power. But we cannot safely avoid the responsibilities of global leadership or the costs that are associated with its exercise. America has a vital role in maintaining peace and security in Europe, Asia, and the Middle East. If we shirk our responsibilities, we invite challenges to our fundamental interests. The history of the 20th century should have taught us that it is important to shape circumstances before crises emerge, and to meet threats before they become dire. The history of this century should have taught us to embrace the cause of American leadership.

Our aim is to remind Americans of these lessons and to draw their consequences for today. Here are four consequences:

• we need to increase defense spending significantly if we are to carry out our global
responsibilities today and modernize our armed forces for the future;

• we need to strengthen our ties to democratic allies and to challenge regimes hostile to our interests and values;

• we need to promote the cause of political and economic freedom abroad;

• we need to accept responsibility for America's unique role in preserving and extending an international order friendly to our security, our prosperity, and our principles.

Such a Reaganite policy of military strength and moral clarity may not be fashionable today. But it is necessary if the United States is to build on the successes of this past century and to ensure our security and our greatness in the next.

It's interesting to me that in order to attack Obama, his opponents are constantly reaching. I mean, when you go to the lengths of combing through his pastor's old sermons, questioning his birth, questioning his religion, and now inventing pseudo psychiatric evaluations . . . how much more bizarre can it get? It is one thing to grasp at straws, it's another to be so obsessive as to write an entire book about them . . . Troubling . . .
Just imagine if he wasn't a man of integrity, a faithful husband and a great father. Makes me shudder to think what they would do if the man had any real skeletons in his closet.
