I just watched this YouTube clip and thought this could be a discussion topic.

I can't say I agree with all that he says, but he has some good points worthy of discussion. It is true, I will vote for Mr. Obama again, if only because there are no other viable contestants.

There is really not much to say. The die-hard Obama haters can see no good in whatever the man in the video is talking about, even if you put a cassock around his neck. In much the same way, but ironically so, there are folks who think President Obama is one of the old prophets come back to life. No, the man is neither. This much I can vouchsafe; the Destiny Child has accomplished within a short lifespan so much of many talking-head idealists and their echo-drums secretly wished they could! They simply lack the courage to admit to their failure. Instead, they cannot fathom how the child of a Black Kenyan father from the tribe of goat herders and a white idealist young mother from Kansas would breeze past decades of history and a long line of bona fide contenders (or so they think) to the Oval Office.

Here is the good news; there are millions of everyday Americans who are not wasting their time pontificating, but they no less believe in most, if not all, that the man in the video has to say. Those regular Joes are talking with their feet and their voting cards in 2012; they are making their voices count on election day. Then, the talking heads can go and find some pastimes for the four years post-2012. Thank you to the man in the video; thank you, Jake Lamar. We yield the rest of our time to the Obama bashers.

Addendum: Failed and failing idealists cannot fathom how the child of a Black Kenyan father from the tribe of goat herders and a white idealist young mother from Kansas would breeze past decades of history and a long line of bona fide contenders (or so they think of themselves) to end up sitting in the Oval Office. They forget that God has a keen sense of humor. Suck it up; Obama has made history in multiple ways that no amount of bad bile can undo, regardless of how hard haters try.
