I read an article that stated Marriages last longer during a recession. The idea behind this comment was that divorces cost to much and that willing parties are going to wait to get a divorce once the economy picks back up? I'd like to know where their getting this info and what people are they calling? I have written a book titled 5 Rules & 31 Pages to Staying Married Forever. The bottom line is if you & your spouse can't make it, your going to leave whether you have the money or not. Most people in a divorce situation have realized that their happiness is worth more than the money, material assets or the recession and their leaving their spouse for a happier & healthier life.

My wife and I just separated (physically) this passed Saturday. North Carolina law requires a one-year separation before we can divorce. Divorce can be relatively cheap if it doesn't end up in court. I am sure there is a statistical significance that led to the article you read, but my situation goes against it.
Thanks for your response Christopher but that's the same thing I was speaking on. If your going to leave a person the recession isn't going to make you stay. I appreciate the input. I didn't understand that crazy article I had read but I've never been called for a Poll nor met anyone else that have either.
