Social scientists have labeled a large segment of the black community as a "permanent underclass". Some believe that incarceration is a tool used to contain this segment of the population. Will incarceration prove to be the demise of mass black progression?

I contend that mass incarceration will decimate the social fabric of the black community. Twenty years from now our children will be asking us what we were doing when this nation was incarcerating so many of our young. Leadership will have to admit that they failed generations. They will experience the shame and guilt that will be the direct result of their failure to anticipate this crisis and develop plans to alleviate this crisis.
THE PRISON PLANTATIONS ARE OVERFLOWING WITH OUR BLACK/MEN WOMEN HERE IN GEORGIA -- THEY ARE CONSTANTLY BUILDING MORE AND MORE PRISONS TO HOUSE THEM -- THERE ARE MANY PLAGUES UPON US HERE IN ♫THE UNITED SNAKES - LAND OF THE THIEF - HOMES OF THE SLAVES♫ -- FOR REAL - FOR REAL - FOR REAL -- WHAT ARE WE GONNA DO THIS BROTHAR* KNOWS THE TRUTH -- TOO BAD THAT OUR PRESIDENT IS UNCONSCIOUS TO THESE FACTS! AGAIN NATION BUILDING IS NOW BEFORE IT IS TOO LATE WE HAVE BEEN IN DARKNESS FOR MUCH TOO LONG - EVERY OTHER NATIONALITY OF PEOPLE HERE IN AMERIKKKA/AMERICA HAS A NATION/FLAG BUT US! PEACE!
POWERFUL MESSAGE COMING FROM BROTHAR* ALI -- SHOULD BE TAKEN SERIOUS!
We had our creator during slavery. We had our creator during Jim Crow. Are you suggesting that if we had lived how our creator intended us to, we wouldn't have experienced those circumstances? Are you suggesting that leadership is unnecessary? Are you suggesting that we let go of any struggle for social and economic freedom because all we need is a Bible and a Quran or some other divine revelation? This type of ideology sounds just like the type of ideology that justified slavery and the holocaust. It suggests that our condition is the result of our backward savage ways and that structural impediments have nothing to do with it.
The demise I feel mostly is that we propogated this outlook on our selves by accepting that status. We make excuse on why shouldnt be heard. We have more answers to debate about to why we are in this state than support for those taking steps to get us in better standing.
We still think in color as to how justice is being dispensed rather than learning how to acquire knowledge in the acumulation of evidence to use in your defense of your rights.
We are the most classist segment of American culture.
Black men and women occupy the lowest stratum within an economic system that is fueled by the exploitation of labor. This class suffers from absolute poverty and relative deprivation. Both conditions cause extreme dissatisfaction. Dissatisfaction is the catalyst to change. Change requires socio-economic unrest . Unrest will destabilize the socio-economic order. Incarceration is used to contain the segment of the marginalized poor that have the will to challenge the order of the day. The so-called War on Drugs is a ruse designed by corporate and government leadership for the purpose of controlling the class of people most likely to challenge the social, political and economic order of the day. The so-called War on Drugs originated in a time when civil disorder was rampant creating the necessity to either address social, political and economic inequities or devise a system to quell social upheaval resulting from these various inequities.
WE NEED TO EXTERMINATE THOSE $MONEY$ SUCKING/ZAPPING/LOVING ASIANS OUT OF OUR HOODs FOR GOOD -- OUR MAIN PSYCHOLOGICAL/ECONOMICAL/SOCIAL/POLITICAL #1 PROBLEM HERE IN AMERIKKKA/AMERICA NEXT TO THE KKK POLICE -- *BOYCOTT* BOYCOTT* BOYCOTT* TODAY, TOMORROW, OUR DAYS AHEAD -- OUR FUTURE! PEACE!♥

Brother....I understand your frustration but when we take the position your taking, we have no claim to legitimacy. We cannot exterminate people or fuel our movement on blind rage. We have to evolve and challenge societal arrangements using the best of our rich tradition.
