How many black folk been complaining about illegals taking "our" jobs?

What You Told Us About Immigration Reform
Posted by Cecilia Muñoz on May 23, 2011 at 12:00 PM EDT
Following the President Obama's speech on immigration reform in El Paso, Texas, I asked for your feedback on this issue through our Advise the Advisor program. We received thousands of responses from across the country to the following questions:

Immigration and American Competitiveness:How can immigration reform support America’s competitiveness in a 21st century economy?
Biggest Challenges to Reform: What do you think are the biggest challenges to reforming America's immigration system?
Encouraging Bipartisan Debate:What are some ways you can get a discussion going in your communities to encourage a bipartisan debate and move this issue forward?
A team at the White House reviewed all of your comments and ideas and below we’ve summarized and responded to some of what we heard from you.

Enforcement of Current Laws

We heard from many people who disagreed with the premise that we needed immigration reform or changes to our immigration laws. They argued that we need better enforcement of our current laws and more accountability for undocumented immigrants and the employers that hire them.

For example, Robert from Torrance, California said:

First we need to honor the immigration laws that already exists. The problem stems from a lack of enforcement, not a lack of new regulations. Simply, immigrants have always been welcome and have always contributed.

Edit Note: In 2007, we asked Senator Obama what he planned to do about employers that HIRE illegal immigrants instead of just tossing "illegals" back across the border?

This is his administration's response. Campaign promise kept. Yet another.

Obama as a President as far as immigration, the economy , and towards black people. He gets a D.
We'll take that "D" and raise you a couple of "C-plusses" and a "B-minus." Too bad he can't fix for you in two years what it took the "white" presidents before him more than 300 years to screw up. Found out that hard way that he wasn't the "Messiah" after all?
Immigration: So far has kept Arizona and Texas from tossing Mexicans out on their ears and is working toward finding a fair solution for all who count on that matter.
The Economy: Let's see you get elected president and show us what you can do with it.
Black people: Need to give themselves a "D-minus" for pulling up on the Late Freight in their own communities (40 years TOO LATE); and also for not recognizing from Day 1 that the President of the United States is not the President of Black America.

here is my rebuttal,

All Obama has done, if you look at is kill Osama and bail out rich people. Him coming behind Bush which was absolutely the worse pres. ever only gives him a small room for play. He needs on some balls and do what the hell he said when he was campaigning. At best and this is on a sliding scale he gets a D+!

Yes, I am all for immigration reform. I am all for giving a people the dignity of citizenship.

Will the new reform 'take' our jobs...not if they were ours to begin with.

With citizenship comes the right to vote and the right to collect taxes. Hispanics will grow the Democratic party and contribute to the nation just as the rest of us citizens...I am all for that.

Then you haven't been paying attention to him. Only to the news media, which is a very bad idea considering who runs it and owns it.
