While the U.S. Supreme Court considers the future of Obamacare, Smiley & West ask whether losing the mandate is actually a victory for the White House.

Smiley: The irony is that this mandate was a Republican idea that the Democrats bought into. It’s almost like Republicans snookered Democrats into falling for the banana in the tailpipe.

West: All these flippant remarks about broccoli, that’s the kind of joke within the country clubs of the well-to-do. There’s nothing funny about that in poor and working communities.

The Black Panther Party advocated for healthcare in the 70's.  If national healthcare is an infringement on the individual's right to decide his or own purchases, then why are infant car seats and toddler booster seats mandated purchases for auto drivers, but not mandated for city buses? City buses have no mandate for seat belts either? The cities' buses are government owned so there is no mandate.  If one cannot hold a infant or small child in a car, why is it allowed on a bus which requires no seat belt or infant seats?
