		Smiley & West deconstruct President Obama’s controversial comments at a Congressional Black Caucus Foundation event. Smiley: The part that hurts the most is watching Black folk applaud as they're being insulted. West: It was offensive, condescending, insulting, disrespectful. It had an arrogance to it, almost a cynicism to it that was profoundly disappointing.

I am not an apologist for Obama  but the reason there have not been prosecutions is because the corruption is so pervasive and endemic the financial system might collapse. This the meaning of "Too Big To Fail". This is also the reason the Tarp money did not have any of the usual auditing requirements. They knew if they looked at the books the whole house of cards would come tumbling down. They characterize the banking crisis as home owner fraud but there was also wide spread institutional fraud. This is why there is such a large inventory of property that has not been foreclosed. Foreclosing will reveal all the property that simply does not exist.

What Head of State tells any group to “Put on your MARCHING shoes”? That’s damn near treason from the mouth of the Chief Executive in charge of the Nation’s law enforcement to tell the people that wrote the book on protesting to protest. To stop complaining. ACT. Stop getting cozy with Main Stream Media until you get organized as a community, as a culture, or at the VERY LEAST – as a VOICE. We are missing the trees for the forest.  A Poverty Tour, with the best intention, is no #Occupy Wallstreet.

The trees here are the brothers and sisters NOT INTERCONNECTED by a set of communal values, social etiquette, and economic practices. The Jewish brothers and sisters you spoke of; they have a community with these elements. Black folks don’t have a community with shared beliefs and values because we have not ENGAGED in the process on a national level since the 60s.

As we see from #Occupy Wallstreet, a sense of “This Ain’t Right” is enough to ACT on. Their ideology will come with time. When will ours? Unions have joined with #Occupy Wall Street because of the political power that MASS PROTEST lends to a myriad of interests.  Will black folks join it?  We need to benefit from SOMETHING if we won’t initiate it.

Possibly, but there is a severe lack of intestinal fortitude around here. Anyway, being brought up in a hostile environment (America) I am not unfamiliar with being the voice in the wilderness. I still have not heard an explanation the NOI NAZI thing. Perhaps you were unaware of the over one million pages of FBI files on the NOI. Its funny Malcolm and Martin got the bullet but the man who preached about white devils died of old age. I also found it puzzling that the whole organization disbanded when Carter became president and returned under Raygun. Any help would be appreciated.
