Sorry, Rev. (Dr.) Scott, I do not quite get this. You are looking to picket NBA players for daring to seek a fair share of a cake that is 90% baked by them? Tell us more, please. Why are the Christian brothers and sisters in the working and middle classes not targeting the owners as opposed to players?  

Without prejudice to further clarification you might give, for now, I sense that you might need to campaign under a different umbrella; this does not belong in Occupy struggles at all. Ironically, it is directed against the very letter and spirit of Occupy movement.

Just like other actors in the labor market, NBA players have a right to insist on fair returns for their efforts. They put in a lot for their pay, while fat cats sit on the side lines preying on players' sweat. If owners are not pleased with the sharing formula and cannot pull a compromise, they have a choice. They can trade their front row seats for playing jerseys and see how many cockroaches pay to walk through the gates and watch them play! 

Go NBA players! Get your fair piece of the cake or stick to your guns!

The protestors should stay in the streets because it keeps the focus of the public on the inequities in the economic system. There's a scripture in the bible in St. Matthew 23:4 that says "For they bind heavy burdens and grievious to be borne and lay them on men's shoulders, but they themselves will not move them with one of their fingers." This describes Congress, Wall Street, the banking industry, insurance companiesand all other "financially fat cats" making it off our backs. Financial burdens are being placed on the shoulders of the poor, the working poor, and the middle class with no one to help lift them. The "Occupy" Movement keeps the fire burning in the hearts of those truly affected in this battle against financial giants. It's David and Goliath all over again!

So, with all this knowledge-we now have to educate the masses to the fraud that the Federal Reserve really is.The Federal Reserve is nothing more than a private banking cartel which loans money to our government or banks at almost "no" interest, but then our government charges the taxpayer enormous interest to pay it back. The Federal Reserve is the institution that must be dismantled and our monetary system given back to the people. We must continue to fight against these powers that steal our money, destroy our economy, fund our wars, create recessions, depressions,give out loans to prop up our US banks and the banks of other countries. Until we do this-nothing will ever change in this country.

This country is looking more and more Fascist every day. The FEMA  camps are being built just for us when we "are bad" people, who protest against the status quo. We have seen the force of the police trying to stop the protests. They look like something out of Star Wars , with their military suits and helmets on. We are becoming the country that we detested during WWII, with racial hate, class warfare and soon will be the fight for gas, food, water, shelter, education, and the like. Our Constitution is no longer government -of, for, and by the people.

I respect this Occupy Movement. My only concern is when will we the people get to occupy the majority mindset of our nations? When will we have a say in the value of our dollar? decisions are still made on our behalf in regards to the direction of our country. I want change in this country. Media hype is not providing change, they are only documenting it. We need enema for this government. Time to flush out the hype and distractions we are being overshadowed with. We live in such a contradictory state of economic rise and decline. Since Thanksgiving spending has increased amongst americans, the same demographic of americans that complain about unemployment and inflation. How is that low income and middle class homes keep generating revenue for these major department stores and corporations from seasonal shopping yet remain under the gun the rest of the year? This nation is a joke! This is why the powers that be will never truly take us serious. The Occupy Movement should occupy all aspects of this economy and nation. Teach your loved ones principles and forget about breaking the bank for a christmas Ipad. These major companies need to send you free gifts for keeping them afloat all this time lol.

Any government, including the faceless and shameless manipulators behind it, can last only for as long as the people allow it. On Tuesday night at the House of Love Soup Kitchen we fed 111 people. The numbers are running high in these difficult economic times. There are over 100 people being served each week and of these numbers 30-40 are children.

Winter is settling in around parts of the country yet the occupy movement in many places is still standing strong.  There are those who are of the opinion that these young people are wrong in the way they are going about bringing attention to the financial inequities in this country but their efforts are keeping a song of freedom alive in the hearts of many.  There’s a scripture in the bible St. Matthew 23:4 “For they bind heavy burdens and grievous to be borne, and lay them on men’s shoulders; but they themselves will not move them with one of their fingers.” This describes congress, the banking industry, insurance companies, and all the financially fat cats that control 97% of the wealth in this country and don’t care that they are laying hardships on the backs of the poor, the working poor, and the middle class.  Who’s going to help us?  The hungry children…the homeless millions…struggling workers…I say power to these young people who are keeping the struggle alive and a fire burning in the hearts of the people who are being sacrificed each day for the love of money.
