Permalink Reply by Edward Solis on August 14, 2011 at 5:08pm hate to be negative, but it will never happen. It takes money to campaign and advertise. once you start accepting money from lobbyists you've just been bought. Sad face to Obama :( I'm not sure Obama is the right choice for the next four years (nor any democrat or especially a republican).
we can't even unite as a country on issues like abortion, poverty, education, social security, and health-care for ALL.

Great question Edward! We need leaders in Washington, not manipulators of the people..
Permalink Reply by Bennetta on August 14, 2011 at 8:41pm It is both tragic and shameful to me what has happened to President Obama. Who is this man?...I don’t know any more....what does he even stand for? When I think of the fact that he entered office with a majority Democratic Senate and House YET has repeatedly been unwilling to make Decisive Democratic Decisions favorable to the POOR, WORKING OR MIDDLE CLASS - even before GOP took over House last November. It's just embarrassing to witness what is currently happening and has already happened under Obama’s watch. To think this very neighborhood where St. Sabina sits is where then SENATOR OBAMA and prior to that COMMUNITY ACTIVIST OBAMA walked the streets advocating for the POOR and NOW as PRESIDENT he refuses to even utter the word POVERTY in any speech...hmm HYPOCRITE HE IS!
THE REAL TRAGEDY....”Our education system is falling short wherever poverty is pervasive, and children of color are concentrated.” Children living in poverty have limited choices...academically falling behind...frustration then leading them to drop out...making them economically strapped and hopeless! And that’s how the poverty cycle abides and persists especially when there are NO public safety net policies, programs nor funding available to even the most promising victims of classism & poverty.

THANK YOU Dr. West and Mr. Smiley for exposing Poverty, Homelessness and Disenfranchisement right in Obama's own backyard!

Permalink Reply by Obama drama on August 15, 2011 at 2:05pm The Republicans are ruining us, is Obama's ever running mantra.
Meanwhile, Obama's helping the rich get richer like a private Santa!
Bad cop, good cop is what he's doing!
The objective is the poor take a screwing!
Obama and the Republicans got a tag team going!
Pretending to be against each other, just snowing!
Obumlicans promotes the false claim of needed austerity!
They decided to put it on the backs of the poor in vulgarity!
Wall Street and the government caused this recession crisis Obama perpetuates!
Obama had two chances to increase tax revenues but fail to legislate!
This is now an artificial crisis due to Obama shirking his responsibility!
The way he smugly points blame everywhere else is a break with reality!
We're still deep in the muck because Obama fail to act!
You can't blame stonewalling Republicans for Obama's courage in lack!
Obama had every opportunity to change the game!
Why he didn't should be credited to disgrace his name!
Hard to believe people want more of Obama's loser chess game!
He needs to get booted for ho'n, blow'n, and too little gain!
If you press me, that's what I'd say!
We shouldn't put up with Obama another day!
Balls to the wall!
Obama needs a recall!

Permalink Reply by Obama drama on August 15, 2011 at 2:42pm Hey, Christine R. Rickett! Oddly enough, I'd like to see Obama re-elected too, conditionally. I'm doing my best to light a fire under him so he'll save himself. We're not fooled by what he says anymore. If he don't quickly get those jobs and training programs out there to significantly lower black unemployment, I want nothing else to do with him! The problem is Obama don't know how big of trouble he's in. I heard today his popularity has dropped 11 percentage points to 37%! It should be lower than George Bush's low the way he's blown the economy! I can hardly stand him anymore! All he wants to do is make promises! That's not working anymore. The black elite got him thinking he's getting another term to get it done. He'd be wrong to listen to them. All their jobs are up for grab if they run. Obama needs to wake up quick! I'm mad it's taking so long, all things considered. Peace.

Permalink Reply by Christine R. Rickett on August 15, 2011 at 3:09pm We have so many blacks who are eligible to vote but who do not. Every election I go on the internet and look at counties voter registrations. There are always hundreds of thousands of eligible voters who are registered but who have not voted. If these people had voted in the 2000 election, even with the hanging chads, Gore would have been President of the United States and not Bush. The margin Bush won by was by the same amount of registered voters here in Georgia who didn't vote. Every state has hundreds of thousands of people registered but who don't vote every year in one election or another.
So if people want change - they have to get out and vote into office people for Congress who will vote the way they want - just like the Tea Party did.
