I read the article a few days ago and posted a link on my blog...then the fire works begain. I found myself defending both Dr. West and Brother President Obama (totally confusing myself in the process). I have the deepest respect for Brother West as do most individuals in the progressive African American community. I felt your pain Brother West and your frustration.

Feeling like I have no more ammunition with which to defend the president's lack of action in behalf of poor and middle class working (out of work) people, I was at an extreme loss. It upsets me to know end to have to acknowledge the rantings of "conspiracy theorist" who appear to be, at this point, more accurate in their assesment of Brother President Obama as just another pawn for corporations and wall st., than those who have chosen to defend him as an icon in the African American Community. One individual said Brother West and I should have seen "the hand writing on the wall" a long time ago (it made them question our personal ability to be discerning).

I guess the jury is still out on whether we have been thoroughly decieved by the real powers in America, even though much of the evidence in this case is weighing heavily on the side of those who have said from the begining that Obama could not be trusted. I remember when Obama decided to make Hillary Clinton the Secretary of State, chills went down my spine. How could he do that after the horrible way she treated him during the campaign? How could he do that when I new that Bill Clinton was working closely with Bush Sr. (father of G.W.)on NAFTA and other golbal issues. How could they work so closely together without developing more than just a working relationship. To me that was like sleeping with the enemy and from that point on I trusted (against my gut) but needed varification and confirmation of every decision our dear Brother President has made. Right now I don't know what to think anymore and I'm sick of dealing with the lack of weight in the peoples behalf on the scales of justice in this nation. I am ready for a totally different approach to securing the socio-economic freedoms we all have worked and sacrificed for all our lives, and for generations. I need counceling! LOL Who will be my trusted council in these times...The only council I have now is from a few close friends and above...and I believe that the power from above has given us the physical and mental health to take action in our own behalf and is waiting for us to wakeup, unite and exercise our collective power as a people.

I saw Miss Melissa Harris-Perry on the Ed Schultz Show.It was nauseating the way these two enabler where acting. This is the E-mail I sent her.

 

  Miss Harris-Perry I saw you on The Ed Schultz Show.  Its nauseating the way Ed
Schultz humps the president leg. Someone needs  to take a roll up newspaper and
beat him off the President leg.I been a  pharmacist for a long time. I have
taken money out my own pocket to  help people. I did not do it to feel superior.
I did it because it help  me to help them. I have seemed the choices they had to
make because of  the healthcare bill. My President is not my date. He is not my
boyfriend  and I not married to him. He is not a relative. The only thing we
have  in common in skin color. The President haven’t did a dam thing for the 
least among us. He so scared that The Right will label him as a Black 
President. He haven’t did nothing for Black People either. Yes we are  proud
.But pride want fill and empty stomach. Who speaks for the down  trod-ed and
dis-placed. Its people like Dr west and other Blacks who see the contradictions
in this Administration  .This Administration have a blind spot when it comes to
People Of Color.  Mrs Harris-Perry you have never had miss-a-meal cramps. Your 
Neoliberalism and Elitism  is finally coming out. Why every time I turn around
you are carry water for this Administration .Could it be you really looking for
you own self worth  in all the wrong places. Before the election Obama could
climb the highest mountain and swim the deepest sea . Now that he Is The
President he can not removed a small rock out the highway of life. On that rock
a note is written that Black people needs a little help.The President thinks he is
catching hell from people on the Right. A  whole host of characters and me would
hold the Baby Jesus feet to the fire. He better get ready to stand and delivery.
People are catching  hell out here in the wasteland of the unknown. The
President and his  enablers better get ready for all the love that coming there
way. He  will do what the people elected him to do.  IF not, he can start filing 
his unemployment application now. We hired him. We can fired. A lot of  people
are piss-off to the highest pisstivity because of his half  measures. The
Capitulator-In-Chief will have his" Come To Jesus Moment" come 2012 elections

Mr. Michie - I am at Peace!  I am in no pain!  I have no use for the writings of Chris Hedges, Smiley or West.  I am gearing up to defeat the right wing extremists and the tea party extremists.  I am thrilled to be part of the wave by black folks, people of color, and reasonable people in the re-election of the first black President of the US after 400 years of racial discrimination, exploitation, bigotry, meanest, rape of our women, Jim Crow, etc, etc.  Obama 2012!!! is my focus Mr. Michie.  Please join or get out of the way!
