Permalink Reply by Timothy O'Hara on May 19, 2011 at 7:18am Thanks for uploading this...very thought provoking. Always like seeing anything about Malcolm. A man who was demonized for standing up for his human rights. While Dr. King is the face of the Civil Rights Movement in America, Malcolm was still a vital figure. Malcolm represented a challenge to the non-violence preached by Dr. King yet did not advocate outright attacks against whites. Brother Minister believed that self-defense was not violence, but intelligence.
Non-violence is something for which we all strive, but self-defense is a necessity in a cruel world.
