Do You Feel President Obama Needs to take More Of A stand againist the Status Quo?

Even though many feel there are a group of people who would love to destroy this President. What troubles me is the President does not address the issues when it comes to what this group is trying to do. Its one thing to take the abuse and another thing to take a stand againist what they are trying to do. I just want President Obama for once to put those sleeping dogs in their place. Its as if he knows what they are trying to do but refuses to call these individuals on the carpet. I would love to hear from everyone. Am I the only one that is seeing this or does anyone else feel the pain. Thanks... See you in the discussion room.

MMMM That makes sense

I believe President Obama is effectively punishing these eternal nay sayers by simply ignoring them. It must be unbelievably difficult for him to keep his cool in the face of all the fabricated nonsense that is meant to sabotage him. I admire the president for his ability to remain calm. That's actually what I expect from a leader -- not impulse reactions or immature foot stomping à la speaker Boehner.

Important politcal (and other) decisions need to be made with one's head not one's gut feelings. imo.

Obama has been weak and wobbly. I still contend a Black man can not play their game at this level effectively for those who look to him the most. Blacks in the US has an paralysis emotional relation with this president. But, when lately has black America really used the Office of US President to their economic advantage? Obama is not the only President that has came under "attack" by opposite party members. Another fact that is often overlooked, US Citizens are really dumb to the ins/outs of US/World politics and foreign policy and the history thereof.

Hello, I agree to what your stating, but there are some discrimination in play here and that's a much tougher problem at hand..... the 1st 2 years is not going to make you a President of the United States .PBO is barely getting his feet wet..... 2nd term will make it happen..... I understand his coolness, and the reasons of his so called submissive (act), even though it seem to be hurting, everyone knows that it is impossible to change things in 2 years, that is the first stage of marriage, building a relationship with the people.... Some are still not ready for a black President... and still call him 1/2 white.... We have to deal with that first. second term will make that happen....

2nd when people start realizing who the minorities are there will be a new law and order, but being that this is still an issue and everyone wants to win, some folks still think they have the upper hand, this is a joke to them.... POB know exactly what he is doing. Sometime you have to continue to play monopoly til the last man is standing with all, and there will be no negotiations nor compromising...

That sound very interesting. Great analogy Tina.

Hi Marilyn,

I agree that "there is a group of people who would love to destroy this President." But this is American politics and that is how it works. There was a group of people who wanted to destroy President Clinton. Have you read The Hunting of the President? There was a group of people who wanted to destroy Lincoln, and they succeeded. Same thing with James Garfield, William McKinley, and JFK. A list of attempted Presidential assassinations include Andrew Jackson, Theodore Roosevelt, FDR, Harry Truman, Tricky Dick, Gerald Ford, Jimmy Carter, Ronnie Rayguns, Pappy Bush, the Big Dog, and Baby Bush. A group of people wanted to destroy our beloved Martin Luther King, Jr. and they did it.

Once upon a time, I had entertained the idea that it was a racial issue with President Obama, but now the darling of the Tea Party is Herb Cain who just won the straw poll in Florida for the G.O.P. nomination. No, I think it is just American politics. It's sick and it's ugly. We desperately need some change we can believe in.

@Kitty. You are very correct. It is politics. also, if Herman Cain is being unfairly treated by the media Blacks should be as out raged as if it were anyone else.
