will not get my support in this campaign, he had it when he ran on "Change" which when you think about it meant what (?) a return to being a "Serf", slave to a plutocracy, fascist regime of "Globalist" - "one world bank, one world judiciary - one world supremacy in the hands of Zionists former Nazi's! I don't think so. He apparently enjoys licking the boots to these characters, bowing to Queens, monarchs and celebrating their excesses but I am not as stupid as he thinks "Blacks" are. and the American Public is not as stupid as he thinks they are. We get it too! Ron Paul who offers a Republic vs. 100 years of war and continuous Empire building will get my vote. Good luck "smart alec".

Your ideal of freedom will just plunge millions more into deep poverty! How in the world can you imagine there is any such thing as the freedom you're suggesting when 90% of the resources and means of production is owned by 10% of the people?! Be thankful our corrupt government works well enough that a few crumbs can be wrested from the grip of the rich who exploit and neglect us because they own the very institution that is suppose to police and regulate them!
CORPORATISM by any other name is simply capitalism gone wild! These virtual monopolies have grown more and more powerful, and in actuality, own us. You can get rid of government and you'll really be in big trouble! You'll end up on an aution block in chains, naked, being sold for a few bags of peanuts in comparison to what you're worth! Truth is, capitalism is nothing more than a sophisticated slave system that's paying you peanuts for what you're really worth. IT'S AN ILLUSION OF FREEDOM! HOW FREE ARE YOU WITHOUT MONEY?! HOW CAN YOU BREAK FREE AND BE YOUR OWN MAN WHEN 90% OF THE RESOURCES AND MEANS OF PRODUCTION ARE OWNED BY 10% OF THE PEOPLE?! The only way to make it work better is the redistribution of wealth stolen from those at the bottom to feed the greed of those at the top! You don't have to destroy capitalism! You'd be a fool if you believe it doesn't need taming! Our present economic wreck is due to this idea of freedom, like free markets outsourcing our jobs upon which our tax base rest, causing less regulation of this capitalistic monster! It chewed us up at the risk of it's own existence! You're worried about socialism taking over when an out of control capitalism is the biggest threat to our existence and is the biggest threat to itself! Therefore, the greatest agent pushing for near complete socialism!

Both advocate government growth. But you must understand, neither party is truly democratic or republican. Both parties have strayed away from the original principles of their parties, not to mention the idea that man should be what he was born to be FREE & INDEPENDENT. Both parties want you to want them to raise your taxes so they can continue lining their own pockets. First the rich lobby them to raise the tax on the poor, then the poor demand they raise the tax on the rich, and it's an endless cycle, until eventually the economy goes bust. Then it's the wild west all over again. We're flirting with that result now. This whole idea that we should take from someone else, in order for us to survive, just reinforces the idea that taking from you is ok. And they get you to beg for it. More freedom, more independence, more liberty. This is what you need. More regulation ONLY on corporations and their dealings with government. That's it. This isn't capitalism, and it hasn't been for a long time. The environment we see is CORPORATISM. Government being manipulated and lobbied by big corporations to pass laws that benefit established corporations to stop competition. We need to be able to properly assess the PROBLEM, instead of looking at the symptoms.

However, you can't be serious about voting for the Tea Party! Ron Paul is the chief of deception, confusion, and spirit of Hitler! They have some good ideas that would help the black condition but the big picture is that the kind of freedom they're talking about is abandoning blacks that depend on services from the government because of a racist capitalism that is underemploying us and underpaying us! This is the most essential thing! Granted, locking blacks up and destroying our employability is equally of concern because that's another avenue to underpay us and keep us out of the vote! The Tea Party shrinking the size of government just means more blacks going to jail, murdering each other through gang violence for the scarce resources and black market opportunities left to them!

Full employment with a living wage as a minimum for all Americans is where we logically should be pressing the government to move! Yes, a greater application of socialism! After all, quotas, though the most just way to equality under our present system would require whites to give up economic positions to allow blacks to have more economical positions. Considering centuries of economic deprivation by whites, it is just to ask them, now, to suffer in the same percentages as blacks! However, whites choose to view that is as punishing a generation not directly the cause of centuries of discrimination, depriving blacks of economic power and position. So, they screamed bloody murder and continue to benefit from all the economic power and position gained through discrimination and racism! THAT'S ALWAYS UNJUST! The courts are corrupt with racism, so they always rule in favor of whites! Even that black fool, Judge Clarence Thomas joins them!

I can understand your search for a polital party that better supports blacks because it's also my search. We need a party with much of the standards of the Democratic party plus attract Christians black and white and all others. White Christians are what we need voting in favor of all Americans instead of being fools for false Republican values that appear moral Christian values. Where's the morality in criminalizing drugs instead of taxing that industry, educating, and rehabilitating the victims with those tax dollars?! Those are jobs we can use! That's the greater morality! Criminalizing drugs does not stop it and it's a tax burden to society to punish it that way! That makes it insanely stupid! That is, unless your objective is the genocide of black people! He is not the first, he is the 8th Hybrid president we have had in this nation as president. I hate to say it but Americans have got to be the least informed group of folks. Perhaps, that is unfair but I find his story fascinating better than any mystery novel, or "who done it" and I wish folks were more curious about American history.

When these crooks get behind closed doors, there are no differences, all are criminals together, they drink and laugh at the "serfs". Both parties are owned and have been coopted for years, additionally, the Tea Party initially started out as a 9/11 truth issue and graduated as these folks lost homes, jobs and farms. But ok they have been infiltrated as perhaps any 3rd party in this nation will be. If Cynthia McKinney will run again than I would vote for her, a Green Party candidate. I never expected Obama to solve my problems I wanted him to solve the financial issues these banksters put this nation in i.e. Federal Reserve System. I was hoping he would either incorporate them and return to the constitutional design of this nation or initiate a genuine change and I do not mean the "one world" government. I wanted him to return to constitutional law i.e. get rid of "Patriotic Act" return to law and order in this nation which was to liberty, not increasing the TSA powers to place their hands and grope 3 year olds. Although I feared that once the executive had increased powers, what C.E.O. would give that power up. Reminding myself of history, he would not. Understand me he is, was and regrettably a disappointment but when I examined his senatorial history I should have known better, he is above his pay rate and remains a junior senator. I was hoping for a Kennedy who issued executive order 111..a return to silver certificate and make currency valuable, not nonexistent. Anyway, moving forward. He is a one term president and hopefully someone with a real vision - an American one will take this Terrible job and respresent the people and not Israel.

Hi Grier,
I share your basic concerns. I have earlier, strongly articulated these in my posts. However, I prefer to situate what we currently have in the president and presidency in the context of what we used to have and what we risk having in replacement. My only condition is that President Obama show US the money; that is, the actionable gameplan.
I will like to join you in assessing the political terrain and coming up with prospects who can deliver better presidential report cards, beyond rhetoric, under comparable timelines and circumstances as Obama's. Many of those who have shown up so far across party lines are either comics looking to take the jobs of our Hollywood favorites or spent forces with little to offer but soundbites and tired plus tiring swan songs.
I prefer to have a Barack Obama who will 'fess up' to dropping the ball in some areas and take steps towards making amends than a novel messenger come to town, crying, not in the wilderness but, deep inside the cornered, cozy recess of our treasury; feeding fat on US. In my estimation, what we have now is superior to half-bread being better than none. It is a case of full bread with butter in less than abundant supply. I can make a case for my people to evaluate gains in some areas under this presidency and tarry awhile to get more than risk a replacement megalomaniac who promises heaven on earth but disappears for eternity with the roof, the bowl, the bread, and the butter and most importantly, the people's dignity.
Mind you, my people (the 90 percent of our masses robbed by a marauding 10 percent) are ready to work for all five essentials and more; they are not about handouts. They are only seeking to enforce the constitutional and natural-justice provision of egalitarianism. Same MLK-message, different times; but no less apropos.
As for continuing to hold ALL elected officials accountable, including our dear President Obama, I am with you 100 percent. I remain so 'as constant as the Northern Star.' If my people's interest comes under renewed assault, I shall be in front to complain and seek rectification. Thank you, Grier.

Our debt topped $14 trillion and in two short years, because Obama spent $4 trillion. That’s the same amount president Bush spent during his eight years in office. Unemployment is at 9% and will probably remain high for years to come though Team Obama pledged in 2009 the $800 billion stimulus would stop unemployment from reaching 8%. Auto sales are down despite the $80 billion auto bailout for Chrysler and GM of which $14 billion in taxpayer money will never be repaid.
And the frosting on this horror cake is home prices have plunged to 2002 levels in every state except DC and Washington, wiping out 10 years of equity for Americans. Obama’s foreclosure prevention programs and the
administration’s $8,000 homebuyer tax credit did nothing to fix the housing problem. This reality was the result of Obama’s lack of leadership. During remarks in Ohio to Chrysler workers, Obama said the economy had been “hit by a truck” and “it’s going to take a while to mend.” More like the economy was hit by a tsunami.So, what is Obama doing to get us out of this ”vicious recession” ? Nothing except delegating the nation’s biggest problem, our debt to Vice-President Biden while he jet-sets around the country to raise $1billion for his 2012 re-election campaign. (Good luck with that, no president since Franklin Delano Roosevelt has gotten re-elected with unemployment at or above 7 %.) Job creation should have been Obama’s number one priority in 2009 but instead he chose to ram a $1trillion healthcare plan down our throats even though the majority of us wanted jobs.
Things must be bad when liberals start wondering aloud about Obama’s capability to right side this ship called USA. A Facebook friend and die-hard Democrat wrote “If the unemployment rate doesn’t drop, this administration is going to be among the ranks.” Another liberal leaning bloghttp://www.crewof42.com,, which covers Congressional Black Caucus members, noted the unemployment rate among blacks has remained at 16%, almost twice the national average for the past three months. If George W. Bush were president, the media and the CBC would be outraged by the black unemployment rate and never let Bush hear the end of it but not so with Obama.
People want jobs and Obama’s policies are not creating them. However, a Black Republican member of Congress came up with a job creation solution, garnering bi-partisan support but his plan has received scant media attention. In May, Rep. Allen West (R-FL) introduced The Small Business Encouragement Act (HR1663) , which would amend the Internal Revenue Code to allow small businesses who hire an unemployed worker full-time for at least one year in 2012 and 2013 to receive a tax credit of up to $12,000 a year per hire.
To qualify for the tax break, a small business’ revenue in the preceding taxable year cannot exceed $20 million, or must employ less than 100 full time employees. The tax credit will double for employers hiring unemployed Americans in counties with an unemployment rate that is higher than the national average.
“In my Congressional District of Florida, unemployment is still hovering around 11%. This is unacceptable and the administration of President Barack Obama has offered very little solution for digging us out of this mess,” West said. ”The Small Business Encouragement Act is a simple, effective solution to putting people back to work by encouraging the very backbone of our economy, the small businesses.”
The bill has 10 co-sponsors including two of his fellow CBC members, Representatives Laura Richardson (D-CA) and William Lacy Clay (D-MO) and was embraced by the National Black Chamber of Commerce. As a reminder, West is the only Republican member of the Congressional Black Caucus.
If the Congressional Black Caucus is “conscience of the Congress,” as it professes to be, and its members are so outraged by the high 16% unemployment affecting black Americans, why didn’t the CBC it issue a press release praising West’s bill?
More importantly, why hasn’t any of the CBC’s 42 Democrat members introduced any job bills since the beginning of the 112th Congress in January or worked with president Obama to recommend job creation policy. Instead CBC Chairman Emmanuel Cleaver II blamed high unemployment, particularly the “painful” 16% rate affecting blacks, on House Republicans. Cleaver said Republicans haven’t introduced a single jobs bill, which is false, and their “reckless spending cuts” threaten our recovery. How about you introduce a jobs bill Rep. Cleaver and start casting blame where it belongs on President Obama for his reckless spending and lack of leadership as commander in chief.
I am flummoxed by the fact the CBC remains silent in criticizing Obama on how his policies have failed black Americans. While we don’t need any more government programs to help Americans, we do need a president to lead with policies that better all our lives, including Blacks, not make them worse. Perhaps the special treatment of the country’s first Black president by black Democrats will end when it looks like the country really is falling off the cliff into oblivion and taking Blacks with it into the depths of disaster.

Great article! When are black Americans going to start looking at Obama through realistic spectacles?! So many are still in a fog of hope. Still mesmerised and hypnotized! Don't want to admit they've been betrayed! Obama don't really care about the poor in general. He cares less about blacks or he would have made the moves to fix the economy that's twice as bad for blacks than everyone else. He's very protective of the middle class. At least that's what his rhetoric would have you believe. Truth is, Obama is not doing any American much good unless they can afford to play Wall Street for profits. Obama is really about taking care of the rich! He's really a trickle down economics believer! If it quacks like a duck, and walks like a duck, it's a duck!
I haven't paid attention to what Obama says for a long time now. His lips say one thing but his actions don't follow! His butt don't cash the checks his mouth writes!
He is laughable saying he'll fight for us and wants to bring change after blowing the opportunity to make the changes he promised in getting elected when he had a super majority in Congress! HAD EVERY DARN THING HE NEEDED TO DELIVER CHANGE WE VOTED FOR WITH A SUPER MAJORITY! Obama chose to seek a consensus instead of delivering on his promises! That wasn't what he was elected to do! We don't need him to get a consensus! We need him to fix a badly broken economy! But no, he wants to be President of all the people.
The people that put Obama in office got ignored! The mandate got ignored! A more robust approach to fixing the economy by pumping much more dollars into it to stimulate it, got ignored! He half stepped like he's done on all of his actions! All for the prospect of forming a consensus, disregarding lessons learned from the nasty campaign run by Republicans full of lies and every attempt defeat him! They never changed once he won the election! How much does it take for him to realize Republicans are never going to be his friend?!
The economy's in direr straits and Obama is p**** footing around, kissing up to Republicans, wanting a hug from them after they demonstrate and overtly say in a news conference that they want him out! They want to ruin him at the cost of all Americans but the rich, but he's seeking a consensus instead of fixing the economy! Why, that's just plain stupid! STUPEFYINGLY STUPID! The man has noodles for neurons!
Obama is given far more credit for smarts than he deserves! He is very educated but that's not intelligence! Obama keeps proving it! The man has a bird brain! Any average American can make better decisions than Obama has made! The press, black leaders, and who ever, should stop allowing Obama excuses because there is no excuse for the bubble brain decisions he's made blowing the opportunity to get the job done when he had the super majority!
Dec. 2010 he blew it again! Obama could have gotten rid of Bush Tax Cuts for the rich, even if it meant for all income levels! That would have given him the funds to give job incentives and get training programs needed to get the economy running better! He could have stopped cheap products from China coming in by increasing import duties and giving incentives to manufacture those products here in America for the jobs we need to restore our tax base.
It doesn't take a genius to make the right decisions to restore the economy! We already know wages are too low and our businesses are making huge profits off of cheap labor in China and elsewhere. Their workers don't pay taxes here! The Republicans claim we're broke! We're not broke! We just don't tax the people benefiting from outsourcing enough to compensate for job loses that have destroyed our tax base! OBAMA'S ONLY TRYING TO GET 39% ON THE RICH WHEN THE SUPER RICH SHOULD BE PAYING 60% UNTIL THINGS GET BETTER! GIVE THEM THE OPPORTUNITY TO GET LOWER RATES AS UNEMPLOYMENT GOES DOWN! JUST TIE THE RICH TAX TO THE UNEMPLOYMENT RATE! IT'S A GREAT WAY TO GET FULL EMPLOYMENT! Obama doesn't have the balls to make the case and use powers like the Reconciliation Process to fix our budget by doing whatever is necessary to fix the jobs problem that affects the budget!

Our debt topped $14 trillion and in two short years, because Obama spent $4 trillion. That’s the same amount president Bush spent during his eight years in office. Unemployment is at 9% and will probably remain high for years to come though Team Obama pledged in 2009 the $800 billion stimulus would stop unemployment from reaching 8%. Auto sales are down despite the $80 billion auto bailout for Chrysler and GM of which $14 billion in taxpayer money will never be repaid.
And the frosting on this horror cake is home prices have plunged to 2002 levels in every state except DC and Washington, wiping out 10 years of equity for Americans. Obama’s foreclosure prevention programs and the
administration’s $8,000 homebuyer tax credit did nothing to fix the housing problem. This reality was the result of Obama’s lack of leadership. During remarks in Ohio to Chrysler workers, Obama said the economy had been “hit by a truck” and “it’s going to take a while to mend.” More like the economy was hit by a tsunami.So, what is Obama doing to get us out of this ”vicious recession” ? Nothing except delegating the nation’s biggest problem, our debt to Vice-President Biden while he jet-sets around the country to raise $1billion for his 2012 re-election campaign. (Good luck with that, no president since Franklin Delano Roosevelt has gotten re-elected with unemployment at or above 7 %.) Job creation should have been Obama’s number one priority in 2009 but instead he chose to ram a $1trillion healthcare plan down our throats even though the majority of us wanted jobs.
Things must be bad when liberals start wondering aloud about Obama’s capability to right side this ship called USA. A Facebook friend and die-hard Democrat wrote “If the unemployment rate doesn’t drop, this administration is going to be among the ranks.” Another liberal leaning bloghttp://www.crewof42.com,, which covers Congressional Black Caucus members, noted the unemployment rate among blacks has remained at 16%, almost twice the national average for the past three months. If George W. Bush were president, the media and the CBC would be outraged by the black unemployment rate and never let Bush hear the end of it but not so with Obama.
People want jobs and Obama’s policies are not creating them. However, a Black Republican member of Congress came up with a job creation solution, garnering bi-partisan support but his plan has received scant media attention. In May, Rep. Allen West (R-FL) introduced The Small Business Encouragement Act (HR1663) , which would amend the Internal Revenue Code to allow small businesses who hire an unemployed worker full-time for at least one year in 2012 and 2013 to receive a tax credit of up to $12,000 a year per hire.
To qualify for the tax break, a small business’ revenue in the preceding taxable year cannot exceed $20 million, or must employ less than 100 full time employees. The tax credit will double for employers hiring unemployed Americans in counties with an unemployment rate that is higher than the national average.
“In my Congressional District of Florida, unemployment is still hovering around 11%. This is unacceptable and the administration of President Barack Obama has offered very little solution for digging us out of this mess,” West said. ”The Small Business Encouragement Act is a simple, effective solution to putting people back to work by encouraging the very backbone of our economy, the small businesses.”
The bill has 10 co-sponsors including two of his fellow CBC members, Representatives Laura Richardson (D-CA) and William Lacy Clay (D-MO) and was embraced by the National Black Chamber of Commerce. As a reminder, West is the only Republican member of the Congressional Black Caucus.
If the Congressional Black Caucus is “conscience of the Congress,” as it professes to be, and its members are so outraged by the high 16% unemployment affecting black Americans, why didn’t the CBC it issue a press release praising West’s bill?
More importantly, why hasn’t any of the CBC’s 42 Democrat members introduced any job bills since the beginning of the 112th Congress in January or worked with president Obama to recommend job creation policy.
