Can a U.S. President kill American citizens anytime, anywhere?

Again, Tavis and Dr. West started this mess and knew when they made this recording what was going to take place.  They are laughing at these comments.  Look, what Tavis and Dr. West is talking about has been done as One Iam said for years.  So Tavis and Dr. West don't try to make it sound as if President Obama (really his administration) is doing anything any other administration has done.  How did Ron Brown die?

What country have you been living in?  The US government does murder or railroad into jail anyone or group that it deems is an enemy worthy of such.  Go and read about some of the assassination attempts on Fidel Castro.  Study the FBI directive on the Black Panther Party.  You could be a nice guy, like Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and end up getting a government bullet in the throat.  You better wake up.  You could end up on that terrorist list to be terminated just like there are regular everyday American citizens all across the country that can't get on an airplane.

Fair enough but the topic being discussed along with the other measures I mentioned plus increasing the war budget to a new high, bailing out the banks etc are currently taking place under the Obama administration regardless if other administrations committed similar acts(which they did and I’m certainly not excusing them) it doesn’t excuse the fact that Obama has kept these policies in place especially when he said he would do otherwise. At this point Obama has shown his true colors he works for the “elite” members of society the same way Bush, Clinton, Regan, etc did.  The blame the bush game is dead at this point.  Also when Bush was in office damn near everybody was getting in his behind(except redneck idiots) especially black people and rightfully so.   Now that Obama and his administration are doing the same exact thing as Bush at this very moment we’re suppose to let it slide?  Wrong is wrong period.

We must admit Barack Obama will be extremely busy going after the Ku Klux Klan-"White Supremacists" For example: when the Ku Klux Klan lynched a Black Man in Mississippi very recently, whats being done about that? for further information about the lynching visit: Finalcall website. Did the "White House" Washington and or Barack Obama address the lynching? Dr. West and Tavis Smiley, you should talk about the Mississippi lynching and if Barack Obama addressed this matter?

I am not really taking you guys to task so to speak but I was somewhat disappointed that you did not question the classification ofMuslim extremist as terrorist and their terrorist activities as “acts of war.”  Once you buy into that argument, it does not matter whether the “terrorist” is an American or not as the rules of war apply. However, the so-called terrorist are really organized criminals. War is between two states and not a state and an organized group ofcivilians. Its interesting how the Bush administration used the concept of “war on poverty” and “war on drugs” to declare “war on terrorism” without anybody noticing the differences. Of course we now know the USA needed the war classification to invade Iraq and secondarily Afghanistan. The classification was also used to create the Homeland Security infrastructure with its exceptional and massive surveillance system. The public got played! I don’t expect Smiley and West to get played.

 

Love what you brothers are doing. Its a great partnership! The program is rich in information, insight and camaraderie!

One I am, you are most definitely correct.  I just did not like Tavis and West inferring that the Obama Administration is doing something new.  Come on Tavis and West, you know what your little statement is doing.  Just as One Iam said this stuff with the government has been going on for many many years and is noting new.  So Tavis and West...STOP HATING THE ADMINISTRATION!!!

Ikalean, I think Smiley and West were hoping for a little "Change we could believe in" like most other people.  I didn't expect an expansion of war policy with our peace prize President.  People wanted something different and they thought they had it.  It looked different anyway.

The question can the U.S.President kill American citizens any time, any where?...certainly and without doubt yes.The question should be will he exercise his right or authority to do so if you end up on the"List".I feel that if you call yourself Terrorist be you American or Forgein then the rules apply and you should be stop for the greater good of this country...if you are a threat to the U.S. and it's Forgein policy then you must pay the consequences for your actions.To be killed...questionable... because every one is entitled to a fair hearing and justice...to practice and eye for and eye when out with the dark ages...although some of us still believe in this justice.On the other hand to purposefully build a case against someone and label them a terrorist because you voice your opinion or views that are not consistent with the powers that be...goes on today and many are in prisons as we speak.So some advice to two intelligent Brothers with a radio show voicing their opinions in open forum...Watch out Big Brother is watching...and eventhough this is  2011...freedom of speech...sometimes comes with a price...you two cats are probally somewhere on some list...keep speaking truth as you see it to provide justice for us all...God Bless!

What did President Bush do?  The president has sign a policy to close git-mo but it has been processed yet because of a feud of where to put the prisoners that are in the prison.
