Black man hanged in Mississippi, deemed a suicide

According to Leflore County coroners, an unidentified black male in his twenties was discovered about 12:30 pm Friday afternoon hanging in a tree in a field in Greenwood, Mississippi. I have heard much discussion about this “supposed suicide”. Clearly, this scene is a throwback to the 50′s and 60′s and cries of race mob induced lynching. Personally, I must have all my information before making any assumptions. In order to “fight the power”, one must have a clear mind and secure all facts before making a case.
There needs to be mainstream attention brought to Greenwood, Mississippi pending a full investigation. The action itself is cause for a nationwide stir regardless of who is responsible, black or white. And yes, historically, Mississippi is notorious for its racial tension and continued segregation. I am quite familiar with the ongoing racial issues in Greenwood and for that matter throughout the nation. If this is in fact a race-related/hate crime, then Mississippi will need to bring swift resolution or continue to wear its scarlet letter. Let us also consider the violent gang activity and black-on-black crime in Greenwood as well. Furthermore, let us consider the symbolism here; a black man hanging from a tree in the fields of Mississippi clearly points fingers elsewhere – “It must have been a racist white man who did this.” Again, let us get the facts first.
In short, a new year is upon us. We are not living in the 50′s. It is 2010, soon 2011… let us push Greenwood authorities to get this case wrapped up quickly. Be mindful, most local agencies do not want the feds in their business. But I am certain the FBI has already assumed much of this investigation. And if not, phone calls will be made.
We deserve the truth.

There will be more acts of terrorism against black people as long as President Obama in office, cause some white folks are so pissed off they cannot contain themselves.  I know, although I cannot prove that terrorisum against black folks is happening in Chicago, where the President and Michelle Obama are from.  Too many unsolved murders, not just of gang members or drug dealers, but senior citizens, elementary school children, and everybody in between.  Chicago has more street cameras than any city in the world, yet so many street murders go unsolved, wth?  Beware black folks, there are some pissed off white folks with guns running around, and history has shown what happens when white folks get pissed off...TERROR!!!!

This kind of thing is yet another reason that I'm in favor of legalizing secessionism, and making it retroactive to the 1800's.  Why?  Because I'm sick of having to have myself painted with the same brush as these whacko's.  Its bad enough that I was born with the same color...do I seriously have to wear the same country name as well?

True, it is sad that there are many who are poor and minorities who would suffer from the act...but they are going to suffer anyway.  Better to use this opportunity to illustrate to them that freedom can sometimes only be found by following the drinking goard.

So how do you explain the violence against black folk before Obama was elected? Just because we have a black president, only the naive would think that race-based crimes would decline. Grow up people--there is no Messiah coming to deliver a pay check in our mailboxes. Every president from George Washington to the Obama, have been for the interest of the ruling class. We thought because he is has black skin he would be sympathetic to the poor.  Obama is no MLK

Terror from angry white people is more than just violence, although it has it's place.  It is ALSO economical terror (i.e. jobs and contract patronage/cronyism).  It's terror in the justice system (i.e. mass incarceration of certain folks), terror in the educational system (self evident) , financial terror (predatory lending) and terror, and more terror.  See the whole picture if you want to find solutions.  Until we get a clear vision, chaos will continue to critical mass.

 

And btw, when white folks do evil its non-punishable behavior (or so they think), when others do it, they call it ethical violations, or moral hazards.  Those laws were made for you not them.
