The Republicans showed their true colors in this lame duck session of Congress as they held the entire nation hostage by declaring they would not allow any votes if the top 2% of wage earners didn't get their Bush Tax Cuts extended. President Obama did a very courageous thing in departing from the Democratic Party's position to find a compromise that extended those Bush Tax Cuts for everyone and got a 13 week extension for emergency unemployment assistance for folks like my Mom who lost their jobs due to no fault of their own during this terrible economic recession. Then Republicans continue with the insane audacity to say that the entire health care law needs to be repealed and that it is illegal for people to be required to buy health insurance if they can afford it. I mean come on, people with pre-existing conditions and the poor and those unable to work who need assistance should have the right to quality health care without having to run up a high bill and lose everything they have to pay for it and then of course there's the wealthy who just run without health insurance because it is in their elaborate so called intelligent view a risk they wish to take. It's time health care insurance stop being a risk for our entire nation. It's time for people to rise up and contend with this demon that is greed and coveting of money. Republicans seem to love their money and it is the love of money that is driving them these days. Speak out, contact your members of the House of Representatives through http://www.house.gov/
and the Senate at http://www.senate.gov/
and talk straight to the Supreme Court at http://www.supremecourt.gov/contactus.aspx
, if you're well enough ask for appointments to meet with your members of Congress, file petitions with the Federal District Courts in support of health care reform. It is time for all of us to step up and support President Obama because the Republicans sure aren't going to display the professionalism to do it. President Obama needs to focus on the economy, peace in the middle-east and Korea, finalizing the peace treaty with Russia, developing diplomatic stability and a permanent peace treaty with China. Now is our time, we missed our calling in the 2010 mid-term elections, please for the love of God and all things good step up to the plate and be that voice of reason and sound judgment against this right-wing leaning Republican Party which wants to be so bitterly partisan in Congress!
