Yeah I know and I have heard it all!! The President is a turncoat, he has done nothing to help black america, he does not care about black america, he is an uncle tom, I don't support him!!! Blah, blah, blah. They remind me of the teacher on Charlie Brown who lectures and all you hear is her distinct voice, Wah, wah, wah, wah, wah, wah, wah.. That is what Cornel West, Tavis Smiley, the GOP, the morons who just don't get it, the selfish persons of all races who have the attitude of I've got mine and you betta get yours, the list goes on and yes I could go on, and on, and on, and on, but why should I? We understand that it is very easy to talk about what you would do if you were President while governing from the safety and comfort of your couches, offices, classrooms, tv shows, and homes. But the reality is, that while you are asleep, our Commander in Chief is governing while black. Consequently, he is on the media "hit-list" of pseudo-intellectuals, pseudo-radicals, selfish politicians with ulterior motives, closet supremacists, and unenlightened persons who refuse to afford him the same amount of time to fix this country that it took the GOP and Bush to dismantle it. So on behalf of the rest of America who just witnessed the masterful intelligence job that gave America the head of the World's #1 terrorist, and to all of you who refuse to have an intelligent discourse of our President's accomplishments; this list of accomplishments are for you. All done may I add, in the midst of relentless resistance by the Party of "NO!"

MILITARY & VETERANS
• Ordered the Pentagon to cover expenses of families of fallen soldiers if they wish to be on site when the body arrives back in the US
• Ended the Bush-era “blackout” imposed on media coverage of the return of fallen US soldiers * Note: The media is now permitted to cover the story pending adherence to respectful rules and with the approval of the fallen soldier’s family
• Ended the Bush-era “black out” policy on media coverage of war casualties * Note: Full information is now released for the first time in the War on Terror
• Ordered better body armor to be procured for US troops
• Funding new Mine Resistant Ambush Vehicles * Note: The old Hummers were very vulnerable to roadside explosives and an alarming percentage of our soldiers lost in Iraq were on account of IEDs
• Working to increase pay and benefits for military personnel
• Improving housing for military personnel
• Initiating a new policy to promote federal hiring of military spouses
• Ordered that conditions at Walter Reed Military Hospital and other neglected military hospitals be improved
• Beginning the process of reforming and restructuring the military to a post-Cold War, modern fighting force ) * Note: Bush announced in his intention to do this but backed off the reforms after 9/11, which include: new procurement policies; increasing the size of Special Ops units; deploying new technologies; creating new cyber security units; etc.
• Ended the Bush-era practice of awarding “no-bid” defense contracts
• Improving benefits for veterans as well as VA staffing, information systems, etc.
• Authorized construction of additional health centers to care for veterans
• Suspended the Bush-era decision to purchase a fleet of Marine One helicopters from suppliers in favor of American made helicopters
• Ordered a review of the existing “Don’t ask, don’t tell” policy on gays in the military
• New GI Bill for returning veterans from Iraq and Afghanistan
• Signed bill providing assistance for caregivers of veterans wounded in Iraq and Afghanistan * Note: The omnibus bill does the following: Training, funding, and counseling for caregivers; promoting pilot childcare programs for women vets under treatment at the VA; independent oversight to prevent abuse; readjustment counseling for National Guard and reservist units; etc.
• Eliminated co-payments for veterans who are catastrophically disabled
• Fulfilled campaign promise to have combat troops (90,000) out of Iraq by last summer
• Established a new interagency task force to assist veterans owning small businesses * Note: The efforts include promoting federal contract opportunities, improve access to loans and capital, mentor assistance programs, etc.
• Signed The Families of Fallen Heroes Act, which covers the moving costs of immediate family members of those lost in service (military, intelligence, and security personnel)

RIGHTS
• Instituted enforcements for equal pay for women (Lilly Ledbetter Bill)
• Appointed Sonia Sotomayor, the first Latina, to the Supreme Court
• Held the first Seder in White House
• Appointed a diverse Cabinet and diverse White House staff
• Spoke at the annual dinner of the Human Rights Campaign, a gay rights organization
• Signed the first major piece of federal gay rights legislation that includes acts of violence against gays under the list of federal hate crimes
• Reversed the Bush-era practice of politicizing Justice Department investigations and prosecutions against political opponents
• Pushing for some of the 9/11 perpetrators to be tried in federal court * Note: The process has moved at a snail’s pace and, in the face of opposition, Obama has remained quiet
• Signed an extension of the Ryan White HIV/AIDS Treatment Bill to provide federal research and support for treating the disease
• Allowed the State Department of offer same-sex benefits for employees
• Proposed that the Pentagon repeal the “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” policy; placed a “freeze” on current efforts to remove alleged homosexuals from the military
• After eight years of neglect, the Justice Department and EEOC are again enforcing employment discrimination laws
• Convened the White House Tribal Nations Conference, inviting representatives from 564 federally-recognized Indian tribes
• Provided increased school projects for Indian lands and increased funds for the Indian Health Service
• Signed an Executive Order mandating that his Cabinet develop plans to work with and consult Indian tribes on issues impacting Indian lands
• Commissioned a study to develop alternatives to “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell”
• Called for federal agencies to look into recognizing gay partnerships in terms of benefits
• Signed an Executive Order for the President’s Initiative on Historically Black Colleges and Universities
• Increased funding for Historically Black Colleges and Universities
• Signed Executive Order to promote the federal government as a “model employer” when it comes to hiring the disabled * Note: This includes new efforts to increase the recruitment, hiring, and training for the disabled
• Programs to assist Spanish speakers with the US Census
• Elena Kagen appointed to Supreme Court
• Tasked all federal agencies to develop new strategies to address HIV/AIDS
• After organizing studies on the topic, tasked the Pentagon to eliminate “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell”
• Signed Fair Sentencing Act * Note: The Administration continues to deescalate marijuana interdiction and raids; increased dramatically the amount of cocaine one must possess to be sentenced to jail; eliminated mandatory sentencing for first-time drug abusers and simple possession
EDUCATION
• Authorized construction funds for high-speed, broadband Internet access in K-12 public schools
• Increased funding for school construction
• Increased funding available for student loans
• Expanded the national youth service program
• Streamlined the federal student loan process to save eighty seven billion dollars over the next ten years
• Changed the rule to allow students struggling to make college loan payments to refinance their loans
• Beginning discussions with Congress for education reform * Note: Much of Obama’s education reform has been sidelined by opposition in Congress
• Initiated a “Race to the Top” competitive federal grant program for states who develop innovative policies
• Instituted a “judgment review” allowing families with student loans to petition to have their current financial status determine the loan rather than the previous year’s finances
• Launched “Educate to Innovate,” a public/private partnership making $236 million available for science, mathematics, and technology education programs
• Proposed capping the maximum amount students must pay on student loans (as percentage of their income
• Proposed reducing student loan obligations for individuals going to work in community and public service jobs
• The federal government will offer direct student loans, cutting out the cost of private banks (“middle man”) who increase the costs in order to make a profit
• Increased investment in technologies for schools/education
DISASTER RESPONSE
• Ordered a review of hurricane and natural disaster preparedness
• FEMA once again reports directly to the president * Note: Bush removed FEMA (prior to the Hurricane Katrina disaster) from this status
• Demonstrated an immediate and efficient response to the floods in North Dakota and other natural disasters
• Ordered that funds be released and red tape be streamlined for the ongoing Hurricane Katrina recovery effort in the Gulf Coast
• Timely and massive relief effort in response to the earthquake during the first month of last year and ensuing humanitarian crisis
Components of the response:
- The FBI’s National Center for Disaster Fraud was tasked to look into possible fraud with organizations soliciting funds for relief
- Announced the Clinton-Bush Haiti Fund
- Established an emergency Haiti Task Force in the State Department
- Established a website with information, resources, and a posting of a “person finder” online to help families and friends to locate loved ones
- Joint aid and relief planning with the U.K.
- Sponsored a resolution in the UN Security Council for additional security and police forces in Haiti
- Dispatched the US Navy floating hospital (USNS Comfort) and, within a few days, naval and relief ships, Coast Guard cutters, Coast Guard aircraft, and US military personnel
- Initial dispatch of several ships and cargo planes full of humanitarian aid and supplies, search/rescue teams, and Department of Health & Human Services personnel for emergency medical and aid support
- Established a mobile US air traffic control center at the destroyed airport in Port-au-Prince
• After the BP Deepwater Horizon oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico, a freeze was placed on new deep water projects
• Executive Order to establish new security measures to minimize accidental release of bio and chemical agents; new strategies for public health and bioterrorism response
• Established a national commission on the BP Deepwater Horizon spill to examine facts and report a plan of action; new efforts to prevent offshore spills
• After a slow start in responding to the BP Deepwater Horizon oil spill, the White House is promoting a long-term plan to reconstruct the damaged Gulf and negotiated with BP the establishment of a multi-billion dollar trust fund for victims of the spill
• Extended national flood insurance program for those in need during current economic crisis
OTHER INITIATIVES
• New federal funding for science and research labs
• Signed national service legislation; expanded national youth service program
• Increasing opportunities in AmeriCorps program
• Instituted a new focus on mortgage fraud
• Ordered the DEA to stop raids on medical marijuana usage
• Ordered a review of existing “mandatory minimum” prison sentencing
• Signed an order to limit airport tarmac delays and the time passengers had to sit in the plane/on the tarmac during delays
• Restored the EPA to “Cabinet level” status * Note: Bush removed the EPA from this status
• Beginning discussions with Congress for comprehensive immigration reform
* Note: Much of Obama’s immigration reform had been stalled by opposition in Congress
• Commissioned expert panels and reports from NASA; announced a new direction for human space flight that involves funding a new heavy lift-launcher and jettisoning the Ares 1 program; boosting NASA’s budget by a billion dollars in a couple of years.
• Ordered a ban on text-messaging for all commercial truck and bus drivers
• Signed bill – FAA Air Transportaiton Modernizatin and Safety Improvement Act

We will not support the president (obama) on anything until he addresses Civil Rights for Black People and reforms same. We want the resignation of Jacqueline Berrien EEOC chair immediately or he will hear from US Black People at the election. NO more passes for the president because he looks Black and has a Black wife and daughters. And if signing to extend the evil Patriot Act - after declaring he never would during his 2008 presidential election campaign - was not enough, NOW the former CONSTITUTIONAL LAW PROFESSOR, is AGAIN caving in and selling out by refusing to VETO THE "UNCONSTITUTIONAL" National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) which basically promotes a MILITARY POLICE STATE and hence illegally reinstates Cointelpro intelligence and related military programs against American Citizens (often minorities, activists or whistleblowers) whom Government Military and/or Intelligence Agencies may or may not deem to be a terrorist suspect....no legal nor judicial cause or even an official charge is required/necessary for INDEFINITE MILITARY DETENTION OF AMERICAN CITIZENS.  I swear this guy's civil liberties, civil rights and human rights record or lack there of is simply SHAMEFUL!!!

None of the current Black leaders are concerned about corruption involving the civil rights law at the federal level because they're all taking some form of kickbacks. Maxine Water Representative from Compton Ca, was interviewed by Donald Winkfield of Black Star News this month (December) and she said the EEOC is not investigating Black complaints because of the lack of Budget. This is a lie to cover-up for the corruption at the EEOC. Mr. Winkfield told Maxine Waters that the EEOC is dismissing all Black complaints and he has a Senior Federal Investigator who has evidence and witnessed same. Maxine Waters didn't ask to speak to Ricardo Jones. All of the Black politicians are in on the gaming of Black people. Many of the Black elite accept the corruption against their own people and benefit from same. See Fear does different things to different people. Elite Blacks earn a well paid living from white bigots. Elite Blacks will never bite the hand that feeds them. When the elite Blacks are finally forced to confront racism and lose they cave-in totally and just accept the condition that has feed them all the time. Our real enemy are the elite Blacks. Don't take me wrong we as Black people need to unite under Pan-Africanism which means: African Americans, Blacks from Caribian and South America, All Blacks from Africa must vote as a block just like other ethnic groups ie: Jews, Irish, Italians, Asians, latins and others. We must force obama to include a PLANK in his re-election platform which addresses our concerns "JOBS and a RIGHT TO WORK IN A HOSTILE FREE WORK ENVIRONMENT and enforce all current laws reference same and update/reform same.

 

If obama doesn't then we will vote against him (obama) and any politician who supports him (obama). None of this the devil I know verse the Devil I don't know BS. We don't have much time to do this or it will be four more years of YES WE CAN which lead to what?

The government said unemployment for non-Black people is around 9% and for Black adults 16-18%. The un-employment numbers will go higher before they go lower in the next 10 years. The jobs African Americans hold today have been targeted and are need today for non-African Americans and/or Blacks. The civil rights laws which supposed to protect Black people and others have been ignored by the government to benefit the ruling classes and keep US all fighting. We Blacks are 12 % of the population but NO Black Senators. When obama was a Senator he was the only Black Senator and became president. There is something wrong going on and we must not ignore it.

To be clear, the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) has already been passed by Senate and House so NOW IT IS ABSOLUTELY WITHIN OBAMA'S POWER TO VETO THIS ASSALT ON AMERICAN CITIZENS' CONSTITUTIONAL RIGHTS, if he desires.  Obama gets "F" in ALL categories of presidential responsibility and accountability for ALL AMERICAN CITIZENS and NOBODY I KNOW is loving him at all...the fact that you would even think it w/b ok to respond with such a deliberate false notion, does not really speak very high of YOU.  In fact, the reality is that obama has NOT done anything for any African Americans nor other minority groups which is just shameful on so many different levels given the few, like you, whom seem to just can't stop trying - UNSUCCESSFULLY MIND YOU - to defend his NON-civil rights, NON-civil liberties, NON-human rights, ABSOLUTELY NON-ECONOMIC AND HORRIFICALLY NON-POVERTY records on policies addressing such critical issues of the day.  

Obama won't even acknowledge, let alone attempt to address, the needs of ANY African Americans which is why NONE OF US SHOULD FEEL OBLIGATED TO AGAIN VOTE FOR HIM MERELY BASED ON HIS COMPLEXION AND ASSUMED ETHNICITY....I say lets ignore him the way he has continued to ignore Blacks during the past three years.  I can't even imagine him returning to Chicago's Hyde Park community after he LOSES the upcoming campaign given how he has tragically ignored any indication or notion of care and concern for the inner-city African American Middle, Working or Poor classes whom ALL graciously, grandly and honorably supported his epic and historic political rise - I wander what that will feel like for him...hmm - knowing all of these Black people honorably and proudly campaigned and supported his historical rise first to U.S. Senator and then President - and once he (obama) got in White House, what did he do FOR THEM?  Well, he decided to get in bed with the repeatedly proven Abusive and "harmful to all minorities" Government Intelligence Agencies (Hoover's and Bush's legacy to Obama via Patriot Act with historical tragic ties to Cointelpro and NOW Obama's own signature NDAA....

AND NOW come to find out EEOC too is NOT being required to defend OUR (African Americans') workplace civil, constitutional and human rights?  Tell me what has Obama's Administration done to acknowledge and address this African-American specific Government-Agency problem?  I guess I just believe that African Americans deserve much more than what's been given (NOT) by this GOP-acting, War-loving and Constitution-hating current Administration....really saddens me when I think of what obama has become...a consummate of hypocrisy...
