the more time that passes the more we are facing a complete destruction of the lower middle class and HOPE of a any future...Yes Obama will probably be elected again, because this is exactly what the other side wants...they was scared they was going to get a pitbull and they got poodle...A man that stands for nothing. The rich since he has been in office has became in most cases, 5 times richer. If we went into debt loaning money,,,how come when they paid it back with interest, we are still in debt, Why are teachers in record amounts losing their jobs? How is it that he ran on change, and it has remained the same for the right and has gotten worse for us...When will this guy stand up for something other then a podium. The Right you say Rice? at one time he had the Left in his pocket to do something, and I guess you say this accomplishment he made was "healthcare"...but I am still sick, and now my son has none,,,Good Job Pres,,,see you on the view about 5 more times if I still have a TV

Just to add, I voted for Hiliary Clinton, and if there was no electoral college, she would have mop the floor with him, smh...I pictured the first black president, to one be fully black (he is mulatto and raised by whites) and two, have a backbone like Bush (and a lot of the young white voters thought that to) The only reason he will ne elected again is because of default "The lesser of two Equals" in making things even worse faster...You better hope he decides to stand up for working people who,take buses and trains...smh

Thanks for your voice of reason Ms. Rice.  I am so tired of the rants and criticism of President Obama by Smiley and West.  I just tune them both out and continue on my campaign to make sure President Obama and Mrs Obama remain in the White House after the 2012 election.  Sometimes I think we don't realize what the President has to contend with i.e. white racism, corporate greed, high unemployment, apathy within our community, jealousy within the our community, drug and alchohol abuse within our community, abuse of our women, ignorance of our history, lack of education of our youth.  Lets start a movement to stop the abuse of our women, stop the abuse of alcholhol  and drugs in our community, stop the black on black crime, stop the criticism of our youth who want to educate themselves, stop the criticism of our youth who want to speak correct english!!!!  Lets focus on improving the plight of our own community.  Leave the President alone to do his thing.  He really needs our support not our criticism!!

I agree that Obama has a lot to contend with but he makes his journey harder when he doesn't take advantage of the opportunity handed him. He got handed the super majority when he first entered the House! He had everything he needed to combat:

Most of these things are tied to poverty! Women are getting abused because guys are having a hard time dealing with the poor job opportunities hand him and the women is all up in his ear emasculating him until he loses control! I don't doubt that some men get into a habit of coming home and taking out his frustrations on the wife or mate, and children, especially after a few drinks. Women should not stand still for that crap! One wack and the women should never come back! This is a lot about self medication. Go to a shrink and they just want to give you a pill when what you need is a decent job!

If Obama is doing anything but correcting the jobs thing, he's not doing the thing we elected him for! Not doing the thing he should be doing! He needs to take out his blackberry and reorder his priorities! Killing Bin Laden and all the other crap like a bad health care plan are not what the great majority voted for Obama to do! We voted to get our money straight and have a decent neighborhood to live in! That comes by putting people to work! If jobs ain't Obama's thing, he's doing the wrong thing! Someone should tell him, "It's the economy stupid!" There is no other thing he should have done first!

Let's face it, Obama is a goofball with sissy tendencies and too little brain power to make the right decisions to get respect by white racist, jobless blacks, black intellectuals like Smiley and West, kids getting blown away in the streets because Obama didn't raise enough taxes from the super rich who put us in this mess, to help hire more police and create better neighborhoods.

The black culture of criticism of our youth who want to speak correct English, don't speak Ebonics, and study hard trying to go the college, has it's roots in the entrenched poverty blacks have been exposed to for centuries! That can only be overcome by a better system of job equality and wage fairness that give blacks the same hope and promise of education it gives everyone else! That gives blacks the same job equality and living environments it gives everyone else!

IDIOTS NEED TO STOP BLAMING BLACKS FOR THEIR OWN VICTIMIZATION! It's great that you made it out! For every black that makes it out, there are 10-20 that do not! The circumstances of poor education, low paying jobs, and a depressing, dilapidated, crime entrenched, hopeless neighborhood is waiting on them when they are born! Then, when they do get that piece of paper that is suppose to allow them a better life, they find themselves waiting in line and eventually doing things that allow them much less income than their efforts, ambitions, and dreams earned them!

The things you argue other people should be doing are the things Obama should be tending to by building a foundation of economic equality so that all people have solid ground to stand on, to wage their war against poverty, to be able to prosper together with all, and open up the doors of upward mobility to all!

Today's capitalistic atmosphere of Free Trade at the expense of it's countrymen is nothing short of treason! When Obama had the opportunity to collect those taxes from the filthy rich and didn't, he participated in that treason! HE TURNED HIS BACK ON ALL OF AMERICA! They outsourced our jobs and ran scams that crashed our economy and Obama let them get away with it without raising taxes on them to correct the problem!

I'm over 2 years without a Social Security Standard of Living Increase while prices have continued going up and downsizing of food and other products have gone down! I'm paying more for less! Obama is participating in allowing the capitalist moths to gobble up our money and I don't think it's funny! Obama is budgeting on the backs of the poor!

We'll see if he can focus on the economy as he recently said! Don't get your hopes up! Obama has proven to be all talk on things that really matter! We voted for meat on the table, better jobs, a more stable economy, and better living environments! Obama campaigned on those things! He moved them to the back burner! He's not bringing the heat where he should be! He kicks the can down the road by suggesting education and technology will create the jobs! We have people stuck in college right now with degrees and can't find jobs! Technology destroys more jobs than it creates! Obama's failing to obligate capitalism to give as good as it gets! There is no reason they shouldn't be taxed more to repair what they destroy when they send our jobs overseas, use technology to downsize the labor force, and do corporate takeovers to increase unemployment! THEY SCAMMED US AND MADE US PAY FOR THEIR BAILOUT! OBAMA DOESN'T TAKE THE OPPORTUNITY TO TAX THEM FOR IT! IT DOESN'T GET WORSE THAN THAT! OBAMA GAVE STUPID A NEW STANDARD!

Obama is kicking the can down the road with empty promises instead of establishing a system that obligates Wall Street, importers, and big business to decent jobs for the American people! Those are the kinds of things Obama promised and have broken when he had the opportunity! OBAMA IS JUST A SANDMAN LULLING AMERICA TO SLEEP WITH BIG OPTIMISTIC SPEECHES AND EMPTY PROMISES! HIS MOUTH WRITES CHECKS HIS BUTT NEVER PLAN TO CASH!

If Obama doing his thing don't tap the jobs first base bag, it won't count as a home run no matter how many other bases he hits! Obama can't continue blaming the Republicans for an economy he had the opportunity with a super majority to correct long before now! Obama should have gotten rid of the Bush Tax Cuts from jump! Had the chance to do it Dec. 2010 but once again made a stupid decision! That would have given him the money to give job incentives, training programs, work projects like green energy, and infrastructure, give more help to our cities, and pay down our National Debt! WHAT IN THE WORLD COULD THE IDIOT BE THINKING WHEN HE DOESN'T TAKE THE OPPORTUNITY TO DO THOSE THINGS FIRST! WHY IN THE WORLD WOULD ANYONE PRAISE A GUY AND WANT A GUY TO HAVE A SECOND TERM WHEN IT'S OBVIOUS HE DOESN'T KNOW HIS HEAD FROM HIS BUTT H***?! African Americans do need a movement, but not a political movement.  We need a social movement to raise the consciousness of our people.  Hundreds of millions of dollars flow through not-for-profit organizations throughout our communities and African American social and political elite rarely discuss the need to hold these agencies accountable.  Many African-American led local not-for-profit organizations have ineffective boards and staff who are short-sighted, territorial, and disrespectful to the clients they are funded to help.  We are spending so much time talking about President Obama, but there is a lot that we can do within our own communities.  This is the where our energy needs to be focused.  Presidents come and go, but the state of African American communities across this country will not change unless we take a stand and hold everyone who receives our tax dollars accountable.

We don't need a movement to get jobs. We need a movement to create jobs.  African Americans have to be entrepreneurial.  If we make our own opportunities, we will not be dependent on others.  There  is enough money in our communities to create hundreds of thousands of jobs.  If we stop acting like crabs in a barrel and begin to collaborate with each other, we can control our own destinies.
