Tavis Smiley and Dr. Cornel West have co-authored their book, "The Rich and the Rest of Us: A Poverty Manifesto." In the text, Smiley & West challenge all Americans to re-examine their assumptions about poverty in America. The book tour will travel across America.

I'm glad that someone is speaking out on poverty in America...I grew up in poverty and even after serving my country it's sad that I'm still in poverty. Not to say that things are getting worse for me and my family after all of these years.....Thank you Mr. Smiley and Dr. West....Smile
